First of all this place has one of the worst stouts I have ever tasted. Their IPA is sub-par at best. That being said their management has always been snotty and rude to me even though I have always shown the utmost respect. Their service seems to be aimed at a certain demographic, namely the clean cut hipster and yuppie scene participants. There is a Superior brewery only a couple blocks away called Pigeon Hill, a place where they treat their customers with respect and serve a finer brew (there is in fact, not a bad beer on the menu) but this Unruly place is shamed by bad service and nasty beverages. They have the luxury of space to provide live entertainment that they capitalize on, but make no mistake, if you are not part of their local scene they will see to it that you feel unwelcome. I for one will never spend another dollar there and will do everything in my power that they go out of business.

Awesome food and atmosphere. The beer is all really disappointing though. Im not an IPA guy, I prefer stouts and lagers but after trying 12 different flights I didnt find a single beer that wasnt bitter and left a bad aftertaste. Their "orangejulice" tasted like a womans hair salon, which was to say... burned hair curlers, haha. It suns as bad as it tasted, believe me. Decent spot if youre looking fir a bite and they have lots of live music during the week. Pass on the brews though, which is a shame. Theres some really good brewerys in the muskegon area, this just isnt one of them. Well they are decent to be fair, just not awesome like Pigeon Hill. :)

My husband and I have been coming to Unruly for over two years now and we love it! Beer is a very personal thing, but we have always been able to find something amazing to indulge in. The service is always great, staff is knowledgeable and attentive and we love that they have Rebel Pies available as well! We are mid-thirties to forty and have always felt the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming to every age and type of person, its really a great melting pot. Unruly is great for Muskegon and they craft beer we can be proud to say comes from where we live!! Best weve tasted in all of Michigan so far!!

I am from the Kalamazoo area and went to a wedding a few doors down this summer. The wedding was going to start late so I walked over and had a beer. It was excellent. I left and came back about 5 minutes later with some family and had a few more. The staff was great and the beer was better. I am not a young hipster, in fact we probably looked like a bunch of stuffed shirts, but everyone there was cool. Definitely would recommend!

Dual Brewery/Cafe with a nice atmosphere (visited late Sunday afternoon) and rather good beer. Had Czar Carr Russian Imperial Stout, 12.7% Drinks similarly to Founders Breakfast Stout, but heavier and exactly like a Russian Imperial Stout should taste. Excellent brew. Grilfriend had the Hippie Wheat, 5.2% Nice floral smell of hops and wheat with a slight spice as you drink it.

No disrespect to the other local craft breweries in Muskegon as they are great in certain ways, but Unruly has the best beer options, IMO. I like to pretend that I am a beer aficionado. I have been to many highly respected breweries in and around Michigan. My favorite beers at Unruly rank right up there with the best at these other places.

Great selection of craft beers. Seems like there is always something new to try each time I visit. You can always count on a good band to be playing most weekends on their stage. Theres no kitchen for food, but the attached Rebel Pies is has some extremely good pizza you can purchase by the slice and eat in Unruly.

I have had some of the best beer Ive ever tasted here. Eric and Cody do things with hops and grain that are both exciting and satisfying. The atmosphere is fun, and the crowd is eclectic to say the least. From grandma and grandpa to pierced and tattooed twenty-somethings and everything in between.

Amazing place. Our family stopped in last night to check it out and we will definitely be back again before our vacation ends. When we travel I love to visit different brewerys and this one tops my list. A friendly staff and you have to try the Rebel pizza.

Great beer, service and atmosphere. The core beers are full of flavor and the specials are very creative. Its best to go at an off time so you can talk to the bartenders and hear the stories - even beer mistakes can lead to home runs.
