We saw a play on Harriet Tubmans life and it scared my 12 year old & we had to leave early. It was quite disturbing, as it focused on her day before the underground railroad. The part of white land owners were played by African American actors. This made it a bit confusing until you figured it out. The main character of Harriet was often hard to understand as she did not pronounciate her words fully. We were close to the front so that was very disappointing. Parking is impossible! Many panhandlers wherever you park. Actors are students at Wayne State University.

The Christmas Carol cast was wonderful. However, the real kudos go to Beth Lake and the Set Design, Lighting, Sound and Special Effects. Fantastic use of scenery. Anyone who had an opportunity to study at Wayne State for Set Design this semester was very fortunate. Great performance all the way around. Thank you for a memorable holiday gift to Detroit.
