The Santa Train is a scam. There is no decorated train (definitely NOT a Polar Express) only one strand of unlit lights on the inside of the train. The "trip to the North Pole" consists of viewing other peoples trash in their backyard along the route. When we went the power was out so they were not sure if the kids could see Santa after all that! How is this "back by popular demand"? I dont know anyone who wants to subject their kids to something like this. Save your money and find a real holiday train.

The SMRS is a all volunteer run railroad. Our members work normal jobs and take time out of their lives to run the railroad. I am sorry you did not enjoy your trip. The power outage wasnt our fault and the power was restored before the train returned. Instead of knocking the people who give there time for you perhaps you should volunteer some where. Its not easy to please everyone.

A great little hidden gem of Southern Michigan with an amazing story to tell of a railroad survivor. The staff of volunteers are wonderful and the scenery is awesome. Although it is clear that they operate on a very tight budget they do what they can to keep the railroad alive.

This was the most boring and stupid train trip ever. The place they take you is a smelly old shack that reeks of old lady. It was not at all what the web site depicts. Total waste of money and time. The only bathroom were two port a potties for about 100 people. It was awful.

I have gone on this train ride at least 4 times,two on the Christmas train and have always enjoyed it. Will be doing it again this Christmas on the caboose. Thank you all for your time you donate to this.

Remember people, this is an all volunteer staff and the ride is very nice. Instead of writing negative things why not just say is wasnt for you. Or, just dont write anything at all.

Had a fun family outing, took the train ride from Tecumseh to Chelsea during the festival. Kids loved the ride including myself and Mrs. Will do it again.
