This is a great place for a good nature walk and picnics. There is also a number of things to choose from which include the tree trail, animal trail and farm trail for a good time with the family. There are also food dispensers available to feed some of the animals like the otters, fish, ducks and turtles. Children love the bridge because thats where they get to feed the fish, ducks and turtles. This is also the perfect place for taking pictures for any occasion because of the beautiful scenery.

Basically an outdoor zoo with most animals native to Georgia. Interwoven with walking trails, this is one of our favorite places to take the grandkids. It has a small indoor reptile house, a couple of lakes to feed the fish plus a working farm with farm animals. Bears, bobcats, cougars, deer, raptors, otters, bison, turkeys, opossum, raccoons, etc.

This is a great place to take kids for a fun day outdoors. Its free to the public, but donations are appreciated. Most of the animals have been rescued, and there is usually educational information posted at each habitat. The animals seem well taken care of, unlike some animal sanctuaries. Bathrooms are clean and staff is friendly.

Anyone thats been to Dauset Trails knows it is great for a leisurely stroll. Bonus stars for the whole walking path being naturally shaded! Some may not be aware that Dauset Trails provides the most affordable group camping you can get. We go once or twice a year with scouts and are always excited to go back.

This place is great if you want to immerse yourself with Nature. It isnt a zoo, its not supposed to be. I love the smaller environment and its SHADED. They didnt cut all of the trees down and the animals are more active for it. Except the bear. Hes gonna sleep all day no matter what the weather is.

Great day trip, I like the old farm exhibit, theres a walking trail that has lots of animals to see, including a bald eagle, picnic area is a little dirty but thats expected, bathroom always is filthy when I go and Ive been here many times. Great place to go when theyre having a special event!

I love this place for hiking. Its beautiful. Plus, they rehabilitate animals here, so its a great place to bring the family and check out the wide variety of animals. Also, its FREE. You can give donations, though, so I always try to give a little when Im there to help support their efforts.

The kids love to go here to look at the animals. Its a very quite little free zoo. Nice for going on a stroll and relaxing. They have picnic tables and we usually take something for lunch and have a nice picnic by the water, then go walk around and look at the animals.

Bike trails are great. Just be sure that you do NOT leave anything valuable in your vehicle. Thieves are targeting the trail parking lot on a regular basis.

They have a wide variety of interesting rescued animals not usually seen because of their retiring nature. A calm atmosphere and shaded trails to walk.

Great place. My son loves to feed the fish, turtles, and geese. Just make sure not to go on a day that is 100 degrees, all the animals are hiding.
