Im a college student and played a lot of online poker but never any real ring games so once I heard about this place I decided to test my luck, gain some experience for my future pro career, and hopefully earn some easy cash. The place is located inside a pretty shady bowling alley and filled with some pretty shady players, about 70% oldies, black people, and women. Some of the oldies and black players are actually half legit, but once theyve committed enough (about $20) to a pot, theyre not folding regardless of what theyre holding, and that translates to easy cash. Of course, a small minority of players every night consists of young, probably underage kids like myself, but they are easily distinguishable among either white trash, black, or legit. I have also noticed that the white trash and black kids typically buy in for $20 at a time at $1/$2 stakes, lose it within a round, rebuy a few times, go out to smoke, and then quit. The rake is pretty ridiculous (10% of pot up to $7) but I still managed to average about a $50 profit per hour playing very, very tight-aggressive poker. So if youre an older dude, woman, or black person, this place is NOT for you because you will lose in the long term. However, if youre young, very patient, and know your math and basic tables, Poker Palace is pure gold.

I decided to give my basketball team a party at BelMark Lanes. I wouldnt say that all was a mistake, but most. The service I received as a paying customer was unbelievable. I was being force to pay for more that I had in my party. My husband actually had to stand there with the boss, who by the way was the one over charging us, and literally count everyone is our party that were bowling. Not only was his counting off, but apparently, his vision was too. I was told that the parents who brought their kids, were eating the 4 pizzas that were part of the unlimited package. His idea of unlimited was to give everyone 2 slices of pizza each. I explain, that if that were the rules, you shouldnt call it UNLIMITED. The guys at the front desk was very nice. The cook was wonderful. For it to be a party, he had to not only feed the party, but everyone else around who order food. Excellent job to the cook. If you would like to have a party at BelMark Lanes, make sure that you get all the information before booking.

I would give this ZERO stars if I could. The manager (I presumed him to be the manager since he was elderly and bossing everyone around) was RUDE beyond belief. He acted disgruntled to the people ahead of me in line; I hadnt heard the full conversation, so I didnt judge their encounter. I came in to play with one other person and the manager rudely told me I had to come in the evening. There were ATLEAST 4-6 open lanes, as it was early afternoon on a tuesday and no leagues were playing. I asked what the rate would be to play during the day and he yelled at me to come back in the evening because I didnt have enough people for a lane. He also gave me prices that werent correct (theres sheets that say the prices, and what he told me as $12 more than the listed price). Im not saying I wont come back to this alley, but I hope I do not encounter this awful man again.

I have been going to Belmark for about 6 years now and it is a night and day difference. The new management has done a lot of great things to the center. The old seats and cluttered approach area is totally new, there is a new sound system (which streams satellite radio most of the time) and they updated the really out-dated computer system at the counter (which means they finally take credit cards). Right now, they have great all-you-can-bowl specials on Monday, Tuesday and Friday night. Drinks are reasonably priced and they are a great place to work with if you ever need to have a work event (we have now had 2 there in the last year). Dont forget that there is also Karaoke in the bar on Fridays and Saturdays right now as well. I vote to give them a chance. The new changes are great!

Came here just for food & music, so this review does not apply to the game experience Having eaten at a couple bowling alleys in the past, my expectations were low, but the food was actually pretty OK. I got the nachos, and the ingredients seemed pretty fresh. Crisp lettuce, real shredded cheese, diced tomatoes. My only complaint is the construction: the veggies were pretty cold on the top and cooled the whole thing down pretty much right as it hit the table. Looking around, the pizza looks great. When I come back for the live big band music, Im definitely getting that.

Nice, clean bowling alley, I bring my children here because they participate in "kids bowl free" and all we have to pay for is the shoe rental. The restaurant will deliver to your lane. The lanes are good, although on our last visit one of the pins was being read inconsistently (showed as knocked over when it had not been). There is a separate party area. They spray the shoes with Lysol between uses. For young children, 6 and 7 lb balls are available on request, along with bumpers and rolling racks.

I bowl here very frequently. Like all bowling alleys, you need to find the right times to get a good deal on your bowling, but they have half price Sunday morning and evening, which makes it much more affordable for me. The facility is on the older side, but that is pretty standard for bowling alleys. The staff is always very nice and quick to help if there is an issue with the lane.

Used house shoes to bowl. I think its time for new ones. Mine had no slip or they mop the lanes with pine tar. Asked the staff if they could help. They really care less. Being behind the counter is not supposed to be a wall from dealing with guests. They want really nothing to do with any interaction. "Oh well. Whatever." Now we both have same attitude about being there.

A special shout goes out to Lance Howard for the DJ/Karaoke entertainment during the day, and the band "Midnight Special" for the excellent job during the evening. Very petty and unprofessional staff. Belmark doesnt seem to care about the environment they set or their customers experience. This place has really went downhill. Drink specials are terrible and the lanes are honestly pretty bad. Revel and roll, also in Ann Arbor, is a much better alternative.

I called ahead asking if they had lanes available. They told me they "always have lanes available". I drove across town to get there only to be told that it would be at least a 20 minute wait. Instead of apologizing, the clerk argued semantics with me. Thats some awful customer service.
