Welcome to Cinemagic, were the worst game in town! Youre stuck at Cinemagiccc! *BOW* This movie theater was a long time in the making. Years ago, there was a large debate in Sturbridge over whether to build a Walmart or a movie theater. Eventually, the town voted, and the Walmart that is currently in town was built. For many years after this, many people in Sturbridge still wanted a movie theater to be built. Cinemagic was built after the store Linens and Things was shut down a couple years ago. While the idea is good, maybe Cinemagic shouldnt have moved to Sturbridge. With tiny movie theaters, audio levels loud enough to literally rumble and vibrate your organs, extremely rude staff members, and unaccommodating, crazy managers, this cinema freaking sucks. While they do show modern movies and some classics because theyre desperate for money, this theater has consistently suffered from these issues. I know for a fact from an inside source that the reason why the sound is so ear shatteringly loud during movies is because the theater is trying to compensate for its lack of surround sound speakers. They do have them, and they are turned on during movie previews and advertisements. However, they are deactivated when the movie begins. The real, main reason why the surround sound speakers are on the walls is to give the appearance and impression of there being surround sound the entire time. Cheap and stupid. If these speakers were left on for the movie, all of the audio from the other theaters playing different movies would bleed into one another, creating chaos. Understandable why they wouldnt turn them on then, but maybe this issue could have been resolved if they simply didnt build a movie theater in an old Linens and Things with thin as your grandmas dentures walls. On the subject of the staff here, they seem bored, unenthusiastic, and disinterested in their jobs. One day, I went to see a movie with my family. After we bought our tickets and entered the theater, we realized it was completely packed. There were three of us and the only seats available were singles or pairs of two in the very front. We exited the theater and told a manager. I asked for a refund and she told me no. When I said this was ridiculous, the manager raised her voice and told me thats "just how it was" and that I needed to deal with it. When I told her that her behavior was insulting and I should be getting my money back, she threatened to call the cops. WOW. She eventually replaced my tickets with ones for the movie at a later time, and I left the cinema. I didnt attend the later showing and contacted the CEO of Cinemagic. They were very apologetic and said theyd speak to her about this issue. I had to go back to the cinema to get the free tickets the CEO gave me as an apology. However, Im never returning here due to this occurrence. My inside source has confirmed that the manager I dealt with was her manager and she forever hates her. She left the job after a while because she just couldnt stand the place anymore. And that, my friends, is why I go to Blackstone Valley now. Cinemagic sucks. lol.

We went here because we received a gift certificate for Christmas -- they would not accept the gift card. They said they had not been accepting gift cards for over a month now because their gift card system was down. Im pretty sure you have to honor gift cards! They asked us to present some other type of payment and did not apologize for the inconvenience. The employees seemed to be more interested in talking to each other than waiting on us. They have raised their prices here - it was $10 for an afternoon matinee. There was trash strewn about the lobby on the floor, and even though they were not that busy, none of the employees were picking up the trash. The only thing good I can say about my experience is that the movie was really good (A Dogs Purpose) and the seats were comfortable.

Arrived at theatre for 4:10 show. Found I forgot my theater card for perks. Told cashier and after repeating it several times and saying it clearly and slowly he finally got it but needed manager who after trying to access ,threw shrugged it couldnt be done. Strike one. Now I order 2 cokes small popcorn and box candy. The popcorn was gross.Tasted old. So definitely not going to Sturbridge theatre again. Will travel the extra 15 minutes to Millbury.

Went to see a "sold out" movie. When I went into the theatre, only seats left were in front row. I went out and asked manager to exchange tickets to another showing or get my money back. No such luck. Was told the seat is open and I had to take it. Was not happy at all and ended up not going to the movie. Sitting in the front row and looking up would just give me a headache. This policy should be changed immediately.

This is the closest movie theater to my house. my family and I frequently go to this location. Its well kept, and the prices are fair enough. The only thing is the employees. They arent rude or anything. I just get a weird vibe from them. You should go there and see if you get the same feeling. It might just be me. The rest of it is cool though. They have a small arcade you can use while you wait for your movie.

Very clean place! I went to see a movie there one time! My friend and I was the ONLY one in the theater late that night. This place is so great! Usually its packed but if you go late at night! Its simply the best time to go! Very relaxing and the employees are very unkept and respectful along with being professional! This is the only theater I recommend! But one thing! BETTER SEATS LOL no complaints here lol

Nice new theatre. Was upset that 1 kiosk out of.paper could not print tix. Had to go to box office to get 3d glasses and wait in line. Only 1 cashier working but 2 guys checking tickets. Should have glasses at ticket check. Also glasses dirty with fingerprints think for money get new or cleaned glasses.

Clean, comfortable seats. We went on a Friday night and the line for tickets was very short. Just a word of caution that it can be a little tricky to find because the street address brings you to the wrong location on some GPS devices (this has happened to me with two different Garmin units).

This is a terrific place to see a movie. The staff and management are terrific. They keep the place very clean including the bathrooms. My only issue is the price of popcorn. I think its outrageous to charge that much. I think its $6.50 for a small bag. I dont get it anymore.

Staff were all unsupervised teenagers. Disorganized and using profanity. There time would have been better spent cleaning the bathroom which was dirty. The saving Grace is that the movie we saw was good and the theatre was comfortable

Very clean theater and great staff. Ive taken my 5 yr old granddaughter a few different times and its always a good experience. Very busy on weekends but weekdays are a lot slower, therefore a better time for ideal seating.

The theater is beautiful but there were only two people working the concession stand for about 1000 people. My husband was in line for food for at least 35-40 minutes and missed the beginning of the movie.
