We had a very disappointing experience with the Boston go card. I really wish it had served its purpose and helped us to enjoy the city but it did not. Maybe it was because we visited Boston over the 4th of July holiday but some of our disappointment had to do with the fine print. We were unable to enjoy the trolley tour which we usually enjoy in big cities because the go Boston card was linked to the city view tour company- it was terrible. The route it took was really among all the construction and all the heavy traffic very unappealing. We also couldnt book a head of time because the weather was unpredictable and by the time we would realize that we had sunny enough whether to book a cruise the tour was completely sold out. So we spent over $115 each and the only thing we could use the go Boston card on was one City View terrible bus ride which wasnt even worth the $35 price it would have been had we not had to go Boston card. So I do not recommend purchasing and using the go Boston card. Wait until you get into town and see what your weather will be like and maybe purchase at at the first the venue you go to, dont order it from out of state and too far in advance. And read the fine print.

The GoBoston card is not what it is made out to be. We purchased a 1-day pass, and we were barely able to use it three times throughout the day. We also had an issue with the Hop On, Hop Off Trolleys; NOT ALL OF THEM ACCEPT THE GO CARD!! We tried to board one, they said they dont take that card. We tried to board another one, they said, "Thats not us." We later found out that the one we needed to get on only came to the MIT area every hour!! Every hour?! What are we supposed to do at the MIT campus for an hour. There is nothing to do or see there. The MIT Museum was a 20 minute walk from the MIT T subway station. Anyway, we were only able to use this card at the Harvard Natural History Museum (not all too spectacular), MIT Museum (much better museum!), and the Prudential Tower Skywalk Observatory. All three places totaled up to about $35, and the Boston Card was $54. We lost about $19 per person (total of 4 people). It is only worth anything if you get at least a 2-day pass.

Very, very disappointed. Visiting Boston primarily for fireworks on the 4th but in for 3 days, we knew we would want to see various tourist attractions and the hop-on hop-off trolley was one for sure. It looked like we would save money with the trolley and one other attraction, but the trolley was an off brand with fewer cars than other trolleys, so we had to wait while 2-3-4 other trolleys went by. Also even the trolley we were on had an included boat ride in the harbor but turns out we were not given the right kind of ticket to ride it. Fortunately the boat felt sorry for us and let us on without the right pass but an hour of uncertainty. The attractions we visited did not honor the pass so we paid cash. Also, could not get on trolley until we walked miles to some redemption center, past several other trolleys. Then tried to collect some refund per their ad but turns out if you use even one admission or trolley no refunds are allowed.

The Go Boston Card was perfect for my out of town guests! I purchased the all-inclusive three-day pass for two adults and two kids. They are huge history fans, of which Boston is full of history, and they were able to fit a lot in with three days. The Duck Tour, New England Aquarium, Science Museum, Paul Revere House, along with having fun on the trolleys and all were no line wait with the all-inclusive pass. I would highly recommend the all-inclusive passes because they get to select a premium attraction as well. On hot days no waiting in line and they were able to show their smart phone pass so no fumbling or losing tickets. The four Go Passes were priced amazingly lower than what I would have spent if I were to buy individual passes to each attraction. Go Pass is the Boston Go to Pass for me from now on and is highly recommended even if you dont live out of state with all the selections of activities across Massachusetts not just Boston!

We purchased a 5-day Go Boston Card, and it was totally worth it! We had an amazing time and didnt even have enough time to do all of the activities listed on the card! For premium activity we chose Whale Watching Cruise and were so happy we did it! Hop on/off trolley tour guides were very fun and informative. We used their suggestions while exploring Boston. All of the activities that we attended were a lot of fun and we wouldnt have found them without the guidance of the card. We also bought a 7 day Link pass which met all of out transportation needs around the city, so getting to most places listed on the GoCard was not a problem. For Six Flags and Cape Cod Activities though you cant avoid using a car as its far away. We were planning to visit Cape Cod, so it was not a problem for us. Boston is an amazing city, and I will definitely come back and bring my kids, buy another Go Boston Card and do kids activities with them!

Had we not purchased the 3-Day Boston Go Card we would not have experienced the city of Boston as we did. For example, on our way to Fenway we decided to view the city from the Prudential Observatory. Fantastic views that I most likely would not have experienced otherwise. The Duck Boat Tours. Another great example. This was a highlight of our trip and worth the cost of admission, however, with the Go Card already having this included, it totally paid for itself. The Hop on Hop off bus was fun. The Fenway tour was fantastic and Im not even a ball fan! There was so much included on the card we didnt get a chance to donit all. It was well worth the purchase and a fantastic way to explore the city for the budget-conscious traveler. Without the card we would be picking and choosing and would frankly not have seen all the things we did. Saved us time and money - I would highly recommend!

We used the Boston Card from 7/31 - 8/1 which were hot days in Boston and took advance of many of the free museums. What a wonderful deal if you love museums a like we do. The bus tour company wasnt great. So like many of us who start the bus tour that day, we werent looking to get off for a several stops since it was so hot. The driver didnt do a great job of telling us about the city or even how or where the stops were so we could come back and use the on /off feature of the bus. The second day of our pass we walked the freedom trail and accessed many of the museums. That was fun and enjoyed by all. We tried access the bus at two locations again with not much success even try to flag the bus down The Boston T was easier to navigate then Bus Tour. Our last tour with Charles River Boat cruise felt that was a great way to finish our time in Boston.
