We arrived on time to take the ferry on Sunday morning July 12, 2015 and we were notified that there will be a 10-15 minute delay for the next ferry because the one we were suppose to get on was over heated. We were given free water bottles which was generous, but I just bought a bunch of snacks and water bottles for myself and my family. So, we got off the line and moved over to the other area where we waited 10-15 minutes and no other ferry showed up. Then, we were told to come back over because the original ferry we were going to take was up and running again. In the midst of all this, we pretty much lost our spots on the line and got seats toward the back of the ferry where there was absolutely no ventilation and I thought I was going to pass out the entire time. My 1-year-old son lost his hat in the Charles River and he was sweating...we were all very overheated and attempting to walk back and forth to get some fresh air, but it just wasnt working. During the ferry ride, as I was standing next to the bar with my husband and my 1-year-old son, we witnessed an older gentleman hanging on to the door as it swung open over the water because it was NOT LATCHED PROPERLY!!! That poor man nearly fell out into the water, but caught himself on the door railing. He barely pulled himself back onto the ferry and him and another gentleman fastened the door latch again. When I looked at the latch, it is NOT secure at all and can easily get caught on someones pant leg or bag, etc. and unlatch. Also, there were 2 latches, only one of which was fastened (not properly either!!) on either side of the boat. My son could have fallen out into the water or even someone else just leaning on the door to take a picture or something. Luckily, that poor man was holding on to the top railing when the door swung open. I COULDNT BELIEVE MY EYES! This should NOT be happening and I will never go again. To top it all off, my 1-year-old son ended up in the hospital that night with a fever of 106.3

I had to honor of hosting as surprise birthday party for my husband. I wanted to do something unique, and this definitely was IT! From the initial booking to all of my interaction with Lisa, the process was stress free and very easy. We had the boat to ourselves. There were about 30 of us on board. We had a catered meal. The food was delicious. There was a chicken and a salmon, a garden salad, pasta salad, roasted vegetables, cookie tray, and coffee. People all stated that the food was wonderful. The cruise was 3 hours. We went up the Charles River to Harvard. We timed the cruise with sunset and got to watch the city come to light at night. It was beautiful. After we cruised up the Charles we went back down towards Boston Harbor. It was amazing to see the lock system in place, and we actually had to wait to go into the harbor until a couple of trains passed over the bridge and the locks were opened for us to enter the harbor. The Boston shoreline at night was spectacular. This was by far a memorable evening. One guest said that they would never forget the evening because it was so unique. We had a cash bar, and the bartender was wonderful. The captain was very nice as well. We were able to bring our own music and the played it through their sound system. I would tell anyone who is thinking of using them for a party, it was very much worth it.

Different view of Boston! My friends and I really enjoyed the views. The staff was super friendly we got there an hour late because of traffic and luckily there was space for the last sunset cruise we had a great time. Thank You!

We took a June 2017 Tall Ships tour for Museum of Science members. Our captain Carl was very professional, friendly, engaging and his comments were informative and interesting. We enjoyed this tour very much. Thank you!

The architecture tour was ok. The tour guide was kind of boring. I just enjoyed relaxing and cruising around for 90 minutes. The boat tour was better. The tour guide was much more knowledgeable and tried harder.

Very pleasant riverboat cruise down the Charles. Its not narrated so its up to you to figure out landmarks, although there are different types of cruises with narration. Bar available on the boat.

If you are doing sightseeing make sure to check in at the ticket booth beforehand. By far the best bang for you buck on any sightseeing in the city. Plus, theres a bar.
