Horrific Experience! FATE AND THE FURIOUS WAS GOOD! I usually dont write reviews but I had no other choice based on the experience I had. I did purchase my tickets online and picked up at the theatre. The process was pretty quick and convenient having to only swipe my card at the kiosk. My friend and I proceeded past the box office where a guy yells from the side of the box office "how can I help you?". He took our tickets and says theater 15 with absolute no direction. I visit movie theaters maybe once a month and I havent been here in about 6 months. It was a midnight movie so I tried to understand that the guy was tired and thats why he didnt tell us which way theater 15 was. We went straight into the theater where we were greet with a strong foul odor. We left the theater to speak with someone about the issue. The associate said he would let someone know about the issue. We proceeded to the concessions. All the ICEE machines looked out of order. I asked if any was working and the cashier said yes. The ICEE was half liquid and half ice at the top. The theater seats are a bit outdated. Monday morning I called the theater to speak with a manager. I explained to her everything, her response was " no one else called and complained about the things youre mentioning". I couldve still been in the phone with her giving several reasons why no one else called to complain. It doesnt matter if no one else called, Im calling and complaining. Some people dont go that extra step or have the time to file complaints. All I wanted was an apology and her word that she would look into the sutuation and make sure another customer doesnt have an experience like that. Last at the theater!

God! Just stay away. Im a 20 something that was not feeling it even from the parking lot. Its a far cry from the AMC theater in Arlington Alamo Drafthouse in Loundon, or iPic in Bethesda. Now despite being 1 mile from the theater we drive to Arlington to see movies! If you enjoy theaters with clean floors, leather seats, reclining seats, and or reserved seating then this theater is not for you. It is verrrrry old. I just moved to the Potomac Yards neighborhood and it is an eyesore in a neighborhood of water views, monument views, luxury apartments, and $600k+ townhouses. Inside just picture a lot of cackling during your movie, moving around, young kids, adults acting like young kids, and general loitering in the lobby. Im assuming with the Potomac Yard development projects over the next three years this theater will get a major overhaul (if theyre lucky) or simply be bulldozed. Id now forward you to Ryan Zs review! haha I 100% agree. "Lets see. This theater hasnt been remodeled since about 1997, its always a bit dirty, and the sound and picture is always average. This is one of my least favorite movie theaters in Northern Virginia. This place could win every ugly award. But, the parking is free, and they hire some staff with intellectual disabilities which is commendable"

Each time I go here, I vow never to return. (Ive been three times now) Its such a convenient location, but the whole theatre needs a revamp. The chairs are old and most of the squeak when people move, so you spend the entire movie hearing that obnoxious noise. On all three occasions the theatre has been littered with garbage from the showing before. Two weeks ago (it had rained heavily all morning) three ceiling tile had fallen in and water dripped freely on the stairs throughout the movie. (Mix the dripping water with the squeaky chairs.) Although Ive read others review of friendly service, this has not been my experience. They have been borderline rude, at best indifferent. In trying to order a beer, Ive had to wait, and hold up the line, while they search for someone who is old enough to serve the beer. The third time it took so long I just gave up because I felt bad for the others waiting in line behind me. The bottom line is if this were a discount cinema, I might be more apt to overlook these issues, but to pay full price for a shabby experience is ridiculous. Even though it is within walking distance for me, Ill stick to my resolution and go somewhere else.

Only thing to recommend it is price. About the only reason we go to this theatre is if its between noon and seven PM. Unlike the AMC theatres on Eisenhower Avenue, the Regal Potomac has matinee pricing until a reasonable hour. Still, you get what you pay for. While they have stadium seating, its not as nice as some other stadium seating theatres in the area. Its also not kept as clean as other similarly-busy complexes - neither in the viewing rooms nor, especially, the bathrooms. While theyve got a huge, long concession stand, its poorly run and under-staffed (basically, if youre wanting concessions before your show starts, get there at least 30 minutes before the advertised screen time). This theatre also seems to use sub-standard projection technology (all the movies showings are kinda dark/subdued, not just the 3D ones). Lastly, like all of the theatres that are just over the river from PG county, the crowds youll see the movie with tend to be rude, talkative or worse (hope you like having your movie disrupted by people texting or hearing screaming infants/toddlers at the midnight R-rated movies).

A friend and I came here to see Annabelle Creation. I havent been here in ages but she usually comes here on Tuesdays for the economy price special ($6). Ticket agent was nice, the guy that tore the tickets was nice and funny. First, problem was the concession area. We thought it was one line- until the cashier said that there were two lines. I jokingly said something (cant remember) but the heavy body guy was kind of unpleasant with his side remark. I didnt really pay him any mind, but it was uncall for. So now we walk to theater 7, heres where it became a huge problem, as soon as we go through the door- it smelled like an alley. It smelled like fresh pee, ewwwwwww gross!!! It was so strong for a while that it over powered the popcorn smell. But the bathroom was clean and theater seem to be clean besides that smell. Other than that it was an okay experience.

I took my daughter last Tuesday 12/30/14 to go see Into The Woods, the first thing I see when Im entering into the theater is popcorn all over the floor and then when I was trying to find a seat it was chips and stuff all over the steps I thought to myself these people that worked at the movie theater have not cleaned in here at all. Then when the movie started playing it was some individuals going back in forth because one was being loud while the movie was playing and then they started using profanity while there were kids in the movie. For real I thought I was being Punked by Ashton Kutcher..!! well I know one thing for sure they wont have to worry about me coming there again to see a movie. If they dont start being cleaner folks is going to have visitors watching the movie with them like roaches and rats at Potomac Yard and Im sure no one wants that.

I go to my fair share of movies. This Regal isnt top of the line, but it gets the job done. If its a prime time or a busy night then show up early...lots of people use this theater. The concessions are exactly what youd expect....movie concessions at movie theater prices....not a five-star restaurant. I live within walking distance of the AMC Hoffman theater and choose to drive to this Regal Cinemas. If youre reading the reviews of movie theaters then just stop...just go to the movies and have a good time. There will inevitably be people using there phones (texting, social media) since its 2014 not 1995. Concessions and tickets will most surely be over-priced and youll complain later...but its all the same. Have a good time and stop complaining...trust me...youll feel better.
