Right from the beginning, the girl at front desk seemed to have an attitude. Apparently asking how much a game cost is annoying to her. First lane we were put at wasnt working wouldnt let us start a game. Told them, their response "press start game twice" which we did more than twice or we wouldnt have asked. So went back up to them this time lady says she now remembers this lane doesnt work properly so she gives us lane right next to first one. Seems to be working for some time. Notice towards end of first game that it has some of us taking 3 turns each instead of 2. Re-racking of pins when not suppose to. We decide not to say anything and keep playing because the kids just want to play and have fun. It is now the end of first game, wouldnt give us a final score on board like its suppose to, no huge deal. So we start second game and on very last play for all of us, machine lets us all take our turn. All except last player. Last round lane shut off and didnt re rack. Wont let my boyfriend take his last turn. We tell front desk that it wouldnt let us take our last turn and response is just "okay". So we get our stuff and leave. Worst place to go bowling. If you can help it, just skip this place. $57 is an expensive headache. At least kids had SOME fun.

Long line for a Saturday...expected. Only one guy working at 1Pm on a saturday, not so much. 3 other clowns hanging out in the Pro shop and giving attitude. Had to go through 3 lanes to get to one where I could sit with myself and family. Couldnt get shoes that fit, after waiting for 45mins for someone to raise the bumpers on the lane so my children could bowl we got a refund and left. Will never return. Worst experience at an AMF Lane ever.

Dont listen to the 1-3 star reviews. Im a regular 227 average bowler and this alley is top notch compared to any of the houses close by. Courteous staff members, oiled lanes (Ive bowled neighboring dry-laned houses for practice... these at Southdale are NOT dry... try moving from your 1-shot strikezone) and food that doesnt taste like garbage. 6 stars.

They have an entertainment book coupon for this exact location that they do not accept. We had a couple different problems with the lanes, the screens are dated and even the balls are hand-me-downs from SP lanes. Will just go to SP Lanes next time.

The lanes werent working, couldnt re-rack pins, if someone wasnt at the main counter you had to wait to re-rack. Food took a long time but was still good when it came out. Paid for two games and the lane shut off half way through the second game.

I have been going to AMF Southdale the way they vote in Chicago - early and often. Never had a problem with staff, equipment, or the center itself. Will be going back as long as I am able to bowl!

Great place to bowl! The oil on the lanes are cheap, but I consider myself a professional bowler, so Im very particular. Good atmosphere for fun and laid back bowling!

Went there 2/13/15, very friendly manager on duty, me and my son bowled for $25 including shoe for 2 hours. Place was very clean and organized, will return again.

Lanes are awful! They dont work, dont let you bowl your full frame, everything gets stuck. Not a great experience. Think I will stick with Severna Park Lanes

The worst bowling alley I have ever been in !!! Over priced, horrible food, unfriendly staff and the bathrooms were horrible. I will never go there again.

Drinks, lanes and shoes were expensive. I waited over 15min for a drink they were under staffed but the staff that was there was really helpful

They have a attitude & 2 hours & its supposed to be rock n bowl but no 38$ & there was a bowling limited wow!! & the food took to long as well

Cool alley with pizza and beer specials throughout the week. Staff is usually pretty good and the bowling is always fun.
