This was a very cool piece of our countries history. I didnt really like how the 15 minute video and a 5 minute walk to the mansion are part of your hour long tour. Our tour guide wasnt really into the idea very many questions. A lot of irrelevant information not pertaining to the house itself. Although interesting, I would have rather filled the time with an opprtunity for questions. It was a beautiful part of history that I would recommend anyone you take the time to see if they can. Im glad there are orginizations who help keep these places alive.

I love this place. The grounds transform you to a place of tranquilty that you would expect to find in this area. There are majestic trees which provide shade in the summer. The herb garden is small but tranquil. You will enjoy sitting amounts the smells. At any day they have photoshoots on the grounds for weddings, Qiceneras (?) Or family photos. They have a summer playground for kids, home school events and a fabulous festival. I didnt even talk about the teas or house yet but its a must see in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Maryland.

Have been driving by for over 40 years but finally stopped over Labor Day Weekend. What a hidden jewel of Maryland history!! Beautiful grounds and buildings, culminating in a vintage mansion. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well be back to learn more local culture. Dont miss this!

Attended the tea, arts and garden festival at the end of April. The location was well kept and festival hosted a good variety of local vendors. Definitely heck out the mansion for some historical perspective if youre in the area.

Gorgeous old mansion. Be sure to check out the maps, the mouldings, and the floor cloth. Staff was very friendly and took time to answer all of my questions. Will certainly return with guests.

Lots of history the house is old and you get to see how they lived. The downside is they really dont take care of the side yard
