Jane--The Surratt House Museum complex is composed of three buildings--all were originally build as houses, but are from different time periods: The actual house built for John and Mary Surratt (now a museum), the James O. Hall Research Library, and an administrative building. I see a jpeg of a brick, colonial revival house--thats the research library and NOT the house museum. I hope that answers your question. As for the Surratt House Museum, they do a fantastic job! Love it!

Dont go on a cold day. Inexpensive for the whole family to enjoy. They gave away books so you could further your knowledge. People were extremely nice.

Im looking at the old picture of the Surratte House and reading the description above. Does anyone know why the photo doesnt match the description?

It was very interesting to find out why the house is so famous. It is a place to take your children to learn how Abraham Lincon died.

Correction. The photo is the house south of the real Surratt Tavern. I had to tap on the arrows to get to the correct building.
