Glenn Dale is a relatively tight, relatively short but challenging track in suburban Maryland. It is a well establish course with greens that have a lot of undulation. You want to stay below the pins, especially when the greens are fast. The course itself has always been in great shape. The workers are friendly and helpful. The facilities are a bit (maybe a "bit" is an understatement) outdated. Tee times can be made online. Among the local courses one of my favorite attributes is that it opens about 1/2 hour earlier than everyone else. It is possible to get a 6:30 tee time. It is a pretty course. The first hole has a dramatically elevated tee - which is a pretty cool way to start a round. Anyways - worth a play if you are a public course kind of person. May not be suited to snooty private club types - which is OK with me and I imagine the management there too.

Good value and really well maintained course (though this is the type of course where the groundskeepers are going to buzz right by you on their mowers while youre putting). My only complaint is that in my experience there, the ranger has done a terrible job keeping groups on pace. They cut way too much slack for the junior golfers- I was behind a couple teens that apparently had the rangers blessing to hit 6-8 tee shots per hole and then just leave the balls on the course (the ranger had resupplied them with balls at the turn, lol)...

I have played many golf courses in the area and I am very very surprised that this course is not mentioned as one of the best value in the area. I recently had my brother and his friend (regular at Bethpage) play this course and they loved the layout, green conditions and speed. I highly recommend this course over any VA public courses except for Laurel Hill. The bar in the clubhouse is great and very well priced. This is great for all level of golfers, shot making and scrambling ability is imperative.

Very friendly staff and course was in surprisingly great shape. Fairways and greens were cut well with noticeable and difficult roughs. The greens on this course are no joke, they will be the difference in making your seemingly good round, turn bad. Had a lot of fun playing this course and will certainly be back for many more rounds in the future.

Just had a new putter grip put on and another club head repaired all for $13, and it was completed while I hit a bucket of balls. Are you serious?.. That worked out way to well. Great job!
