September 15, 2014 I have been a very great customer of FGC for the past 4 months spending on average $25 per week. Today when I arrived after work (6pm) the clubhouse was locked and my friend and another gentlemen were not able to go inside and pay. This was a first for me. So we started our round unable to pay because no one was there. On the seventh hole one of the girl owners came over to us and asked to see our receipt. Obviously we had none and we explained that the clubhouse door was locked. She said that was not true and continue by saying that we have tried not paying other times before. I knew she was lying about the door being locked and then accused my friend and I of not pay for our rounds. I was so insulting that someone could make up a lye in there head just like that and insult trustworthy and respectful customers. I had my words with her and told her I would never return. If you are angered by my interaction with the girl owner of FGC please do as I did and find another place to golf where you wont be accused of basically stealing. Tomorrow I will take a written letter and my bank statements just to show them the amount of money I had spent over the last several months just to rub it in her face. It is really the worse then someone accused you of doing something that you did not do. It could have been handle so much better. I hope this comment gets back to her so she may changes her attitude and approach to good customer service.

Pros: Cheapest course in North America Cons: Shittiest course in North America Is it worth playing? Not a chance in hell. You might ask, how about one time? Not a chance in hell. The Par is 66. The course has no water, no sand traps, no cart girls to give you beer, no pin markers, no fairway, no maintenance, all rough, no green (well the green is like fairway), and is surrounded by farmland. It has no direction either. You might get lost on the farm..Worst of all, from past experience, some of the people playing the course should not be playing golf, or sports in general..Ive seen men at there will no shirt on or tank tops chippin there way down the roughed fairway... FCGC is quite simply a dump on a farm.

I went to this course to try to find a cheap place to play often it offers 27 holes and at a cheap price. They have rangers that will follow you around the course and tell you when you can re-hit or if you have to take a drop. They will also sit in the tree lines with binoculars and watch to make sure you keep moving at what they consider the correct pace. As for losing your balls if you roll off the fair way do not expect to find your ball the rough is between 4-6 inches high in most parts and were it is lower its all clover which means your ball will hide under the leaves and you will have a million white spots. I play golf to be social and have fun and this course was not that.

I have played this course many times, and I like it. I have always found the staff very friendly and accommodating. I have never been told to go faster on the course, maybe because I am not socializing on the course, nor spending 20 minutes trying to find a ball worth 50 cents. The course upkeep varies, but honestly what do you expect for these low rates? I like that they have expanded to 27 holes - you have some choice of where to start based on the crowds. Mid-afternoon seems to be the best time to avoid any crowds. Generally speaking, if you are learning the game, or decide you want to play on the spur of the moment, this is a very good place to go.

Great place for practice. If you need some help on your irons and short game, this is a great place to just get some swings in on a "real" course. I have gone plenty of times and just taken a few clubs to work on. Staff is friendly; however, other golfers on the course were not. I had two times in one round where golfers took more than 20 minutes on a hole and did not wave our group through. Pace of play varies greatly, but again, for the price; for the location; for the quality of the course, use it for practice.

The course itself is poorly maintained, hitting your ball into the rough pretty much promises a lost ball. The fairway on most holes is much like hitting into concrete, your ball will have a large bounce and roll quite a bit. The staff at the club house are friendly while the staff patrolling the grounds are rude and will follow you and try to hide behind barns and trees while spying on your group. Combining staff treatment with poor course upkeep, take an extra 8 dollars and play Glade Valley.

i have played this coarse many times over the past 5 yrs, most recently last week. not a country club however to get in your practice strokes, work on your short game, enjoy the fresh air as well as teach your kids the game, there is no better place. yes, at times the fairways are hard, the greens are generally fine. friendly staff, never had a ranger push us nor hide behind trees. a great, laid back atmosphere, hats off to you FCG

this is a local, family run coarse that allows golfers of all levels to get a great round in for a fair price. if you are looking to get out to work on your game, not be pushed by some ranger on a time schedule and dont mind older carts with no tee times, FGC. is a great place. relax and enjoy the game and the company of your buddies

Ive been coming here for quite some time. Its a low maintenance, inexpensive golf course for beginners or groups who want a low-stress golf outing. I dont think theyre trying to be fancy which is fine by me. Some greens are better than others, the fairways are okay, and the sand pits are... there basically are no sand pits.

You will lose your ball in the fairway. I use range balls when I am there because unless you go on a day when they just cut the grass you will lose multiple well hit balls. That being said I go there very often and enjoy the place. Great place for people who suck and dont want to spend too much money on a good course.

The course has come a very long way! The greens are in great shape right now. There are several ponds and the course crosses a creek in several places. There are atleast 10 sand traps on the course to add some difficulty. It is affordable and accomadating. An outstanding deal!

Great golf course for the money!! You can walk all day for just $10. With 27 holes they are never too busy and you can choose easy or harder course. The staff is really nice. They only water the the greens so the course is in the best shape when it has rained lol. Will be back.

Its a great place for beginners, teens & tweens! I find the staff to be very friendly and interested in running a professional club even though the course is a bit rough. Concerns that I had such as golfers playing a hole twice or shirtless were immediately addressed! Bravo!
