We bought a Groupon for one of the escape rooms, and went the same day we purchased it, July 9th. So we get to Annapolis Street at around 8:50 p.m., and Mission Escape is nowhere to be found. Our group of fours scheduled time was 9 p.m. in the Edgar Allen Poe themed escape room. We are thinking we made it, we just could not locate the place. So we call and they answer right away and we tell them we are on ANNAPOLIS Street and could not locate the establishment. They said they are not located there, but are located on 40 WEST Street - Groupon really mucked up the address for this one. Luckily, we GPS it and let them know that it is only 5 minutes away, and is that too late? No, so we make our way. We found good, FREE parking [after 7:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday it is free] on the same street as the establishment. We get there and they say they had to start the room without us, but give us other options. We could do one of the other rooms, or they were willing to book a whole room for us an hour later at 10, due to the Groupon address issue! They are SO NICE! Really great customer service! They even gave us free ice cream vouchers for the mishap! We booked the 10 p.m. room and walked to get the ice cream. Its in Annapolis, the actual city area right near Main Street and the Harbor, so it was a really nice scene and walk. We made it back and they took us back, almost immediately, to the room. It was really fun! There were some excellent clues and quite a few distraction clues! We did not solve the puzzle to escape the room, but we came pretty close, and it was well worth it! They said the room we had was 2nd hardest, and this was our very first escape room, so we had a bit of a harder time than if we had tried one of their easier rooms for our first escape room attempt. Great customer service, really great owner Jason, really cute and clean establishment, an awesome themed room and great clues, and a great location. We will definitely be going back to try the other rooms. And we definitely recommend that you give Mission Escape a try! You will not be disappointed with the customer service or the experience; we know we werent!

Did the Poe room, and there were several things that did not work as they should have (i.e. You had to pull down really hard on a lock even though the correct numbers where entered which wasted 20 mins of our time-the switches were put in the correct positions and did not work-we went over twice with the person working there until they actually unlocked it remotely for us- another 20mins was lost and then by the time we got the final clue time was up. When we were shown how we were to solve the last clue the person working there even had to keep trying multiple times before it worked- just avoid the Poe room. Bummer that this had to be my husbands first experience at an escape room. No one out of our group was happy about this experience-even though for some reason one of the staff members working there made a comment that she was glad to see we were happy. Totally awkward moment.

This was my part of my sisters bachelorette party experience. This was brand new to us and we wanted to do something different. We went with the Edgar Allen Poe room and were shoved in a tiny room with a lot of extra people which was not explained on the website at all. We wanted to be alone to get to do it together. That didnt happen. This was also not a Groupon deal. I paid FULL price for this party. This company also didnt answer the phone the multiple times that I called to get clarification on whether we would have the room to ourselves or not. We didnt get to solve any clues, we were ran over by the umpteen other people that were in the room and then it was over 20 min later. NOT 50! The clues were too simple, the room was too cramped, the cost was too high and I could keep going. This is definitely not something I would recommend for anybody. What a huge ripoff!

Came here on a Wednesday with a group of 6. The decor in the entrance is very cool. The check in process was seamless due to their easy online booking. The staff was very accommodating when we walked in and got us into our room as quickly as possible. They have small lockers to keep all items safe while trying to escape the room. We went into the Boudoir room and were exuberant with adrenaline. This was our first time in an escape the room and Mission Escape didnt let down. The rooms aesthetic matched the theme perfectly. Everythings was well thought out. The staff was well versed with the rooms and could help at anytime with clues. We loved the experience so much we decided to book a second room after we finished with our first. Some of the rooms clues were hard and I would recommend the participants be above the age of 8. I cant wait to go back and escape the other two rooms!

My group was disappointed with the experience we had at mission escape room Annapolis. We went with a group of 8 for my sons 14th birthday. This was our first time going to an escape room and based on our experience we would not return. We paid full price for the Sinking Submarine room. I found this room to be drab and boring. The room wasnt exciting at all. I called ahead and asked what the best room was. The person who answered said that Hansel & Gretel was new and the best room but was totally booked for the day. I was gonna just wait and book another time but she assured me that i would enjoy the Sinking Submarine as well. My group did not enjoy the experience and felt it was a waste of money. Hopefully I can talk my group into trying another room but if not then we are going to try the escape room in Laurel which we heard is more exciting and interactive.

Did the Boudoir room last weekend while in Annapolis. Ive done several other escape rooms in different states, and I found this one to be lacking variety in the puzzles and it was not mentally challenging. My group broke out with plenty of time to spare and we felt disappointed because we had hoped for much more from the experience. Puzzles are such that you have to work through them sequentially, so if you have a big group, you cannot divide and conquer, youre all working on the same puzzle at the same time. Staff were very nice and everything was on time.

Visited friends for the holiday weekend and thought this would be something different to do. We did the boudoir room (easiest one) and boy it was tricky! But we made it out. We had so much fun we came back the next day and brought two more friends for the Edgar Allen Poe room. This has a 11% success rate. And we did not make it out BUT that doesnt matter. Really makes you think and learn how to work as a team. Highly recommend for all types of groups. Friends, family, coworkers (team building) and couples! Good luck :)
