This place is great. It isnt the largest facility or grandest tasting room out there, but the owners are very friendly and make excellent wine. This was the first vineyard I went to that had such diverse flavors. They have some great white and dessert wines. They have a way of mixing flavors to produce great tasting wines. I learned after talking to the owners wife that they get almost all their grapes locally.... from their vineyard and local KY vineyards. I enjoyed my experience and left with some great Christmas gifts. I recommend visiting Wight-Meyer for a sample tasting of some different, flavorable wines.

Jim does an excellent job as a wine maker. Probably the best in the state. And it takes a lot for me to say that, I run River Bend Winery in Downtown Louisville and am very proud of our wines as well. Joe, our master winemaker, and I stopped in to learn a few things and learned a lot. And Jim cooked us a few hot dogs and outdid himself in kindness. If he does this with the competition then imagine what he will do for you! If you are making a day of wine tasting stop at both Wight-Meyer Winery and River Bend Winery.

I am from out of state & was really looking forward to our winery experience with our friends from Kentucky. Little did we know, we were going to receive attitude from the waitress. Poor service is to be expected. We got up and left and went somewhere else. I do not recommend this place.

The owner and server were very rude and disrespectful. We purchased a Groupon for a wine tasting and they refused to respect our purchase. Will never come here again and will definitely not recommend this to anybody. Do not waste your time.

This winery has a wine for every pallet. All are superbly designed by the master wine maker, Jim Wight. A family friendly venue for the weekend, or perfect pitstop for couples. Youre sure to find a wine you love!
