Really really enjoyed this. Our familys favorite part was the Louis and Clark exhibit area. It was HUGE and had lots of interactive parts, including teepee that you can climb into, a dugout canoe, a cabin with food and tin pans to make food, a dress up trunk, lots of stuff. And it wasnt cheesy. Really really cool. The Hunger Games area was just ok. If youre an extreme fan, check it out. Otherwise its just meh. We were a little bummed by the misleading info we were given in the gift shop. The girl working said if we didnt do the Hunger Games exhibit, there wouldnt be that much to see, since nearly half the museum was for the Hunger Games. She said we could expect the rest of the museum to take an hour, and the Hunger Games to take an hour. We disagree. We wish we would have had hours for just the rest of the museum! I could imagine spending 4 hours there easily. The Hunger Games we spent maybe 45 minutes. Not as many interactive things, and some costumes and displays from the movies, but not too much to read, so it was easy to blow through this area. So definitely enjoy your time in the rest of the museum! Really interactive, the reenactments were really neat too, the actors are very engaging. Would definitely come back to the main museum area!

We went for the Hunger Games exhibition and were not disappointed. It was a very interesting and informative exhibit. Since my son and I are big fans of the books and the movies, it was cool to get background info about the inspiration for the books, how things were designed, location choices, etc. My 15 yr old son enjoyed the interactive portions as well. We also enjoyed the other exhibits. We were there for over 4 hours and moved kind of quickly towards the end, because we were tired and ready to head home. A good plan would be to go to either the permanent exhibits, go get lunch and come back for the Hunger Games, or vice versa. Definitely plan on 4-5 hours to see, read and experience everything this place has to offer. The ticket prices were reasonable (we paid $40 each for the Arc Encounter) and parking was fairly priced and close by.

Even though I am just now reviewing this, it has been about 8 years since I last visited the Museum. I live out of town, and for a short time, my family decided to check out some of the attractions in the area, and by far, this was the best. In fact, we loved it so much, we visited over 4 times in about 2 years time. And every time we found something new, and came out wanting to come back. Yes, there are lots of guns, knives, sword, and more guns. But those items have some cool history behind them, as you find out when you visit. The museum covers much more than just weapons. I would say that if you are in the Louisville area, The Frazier History Museum is a must see!

I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at The Frazier and was blown away by their staff and facility! The ladies who run the events are so organized and knowledgeable about what they are doing. Everyone is friendly and willing to help! The event itself turned out spectacular because of the beautiful facility and the service that was provided by the staff. I recommend to anyone looking at having their wedding at The Frazier to hurry up and book it because it will be the best decision you will make in your wedding planning process! You won’t have to worry about anything! (Plus, they have great indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony options!)

I recently had my wedding at the Frazier Museum and it was amazing! Julie, Julie & Valerie were amazing coordinators! I was planning my wedding from 14 hours away and they were always there for me to contact via email or phone call. Our wedding was on the 4th floor loft and it was gorgeous! We got married in December and luckily there was no one on the roof, so we received some amazing pictures on the rooftop! Julie was our coordinator the wedding evening and she made sure my husband and I received appetizers and drinks right when we got to the reception. Everyone at the Frazier was amazing and they ensured our wedding a huge success!

We paid full price for the museum. We were told to start on the third floor. Third floor was an exhibit to Lewis and Clark, which was great. Also, an exhibit on the history of Bourbon/Prohibition Era which was good. The 2nd and 1st floors were closed off to exhibit times from The Hunger Games. The price for JUST that exhibit was additional and was MORE EXPENSIVE than the total cost of the museum!!! As a result of the annex the museum proper was ONE FLOOR. We paid full price and we were NOT TOLD that we would only be seeing 1/3 of the normal museum. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have been twice and plan to go again and again I love this museum!!! It has spectacular exhibits that never ever get old. Their special exhibits section always has something fun and interesting. They have activities for both young and old and the gift shop has replicas you can purchase for a reasonable price and they sell books about history. This is the ultimate International History Museum! And a bonus after you see the Frazier you can see the Slugger museum and the science museum!!!!

I love going to this museum! The historical actors are really neat and inspiring and you get to ask questions and I got to see some of the swords the actor used. I like the traveling exhibits, Im glad we still have a museum that does traveling exhibits here. A long time ago I saw the dragon exhibit and it was really cool! The regular museum is awesome too, I like seeing all the artifacts and reading the signs. The gift shop is really fun too, theres a ton of cool stuff in there to buy!

I went to check out the Hunger Games exhibit. It was neat but if you love the movies like me then you know most of the info. They offer a military discount, which is greatly appreciated and some of the proceeds go to Jennifer Lawrences charity, but I still felt it was a little on the high side. You do get access to the rest of the museum which we checked out. If youre a big fan go and support the districts, if youre not then save your money.

This is a great early American museum, through prohibition. Needed more time, to see all the exhibits (should start exhibits in the morning, start working your way down from 3rd floor to the first). Will need to return, starting next month, they will be adding another exhibit for "The Hunger Games". The presentation / reenactment of prohibition era, in Louisville, KY was performed well. The guy (bartender) did a great job telling the story!

Really enjoyed the Hunger Games Exhibit. The rest of the museum is quite small, the museum store that a wide variety of items and Diet Pepsi which most of Louisville caries Coke products, so that was wonderful after 3 days without DP. Wish HG wouldve been a little more diverse, I really felt like it was heavy on the clothing and they couldve done more creative things with it.
