We went out to celebrate my birthday and ate out on the patio. The service was mediocre, at best. I ordered the brisket and Ive definitely had better. My mom ordered a salad and there was about half a cup of water that she literally had to pour out of the bottom of her salad bowl, which was pretty odd. My boyfriend ordered a Nashville hot chicken tenderloin wrap, they brought out plain chicken tenders.... When we asked the employee who delivered the food why it wasnt Nashville hot OR in a wrap, he was utterly dumbfounded, I really think he must have been stoned or something. Our actual server came out to see what the problem was and literally blamed my boyfriend and said he ordered it wrong. Apparently they have two items on the menu with the exact same name and she was under the impression that he wanted chicken tenders (why she didnt think to clarify since she explained to us that there were 2 items with the same name.... I dont know). They then brought out a cup of chunky Nashville hot sauce in a cup for my boyfriend to apply to the chicken tenders. I was extremely disappointed in the service. Not only did they mess up his meal, they blamed him for their screw up. I definitely wont be back.

So much to comment about honestly. 1. The decorations are nice and honestly the best part of the whole place. 2. Our server seemed to be one of the most unhappy people ive seen. She didnt even give us her name She hardly ever checked on us. Other servers seemed to be working hard and happy though. 3. The host was CONSTANTLY on her phone. Almost everytime I looked she was on it and if she wasnt it was because I didnt see where she was she just vanished leaving the door unattended. 4. The food was really just not good. This obviously is an opinion but I went with 5 other people and no one else liked their food. (we even shared eith each other). The fries were good though. 5. The seats are VERY uncomfortable. Even a small and skinny child barely fit on the small round seats. They looked nice but felt terrible. 6. Lastly the music was terrible and loud. (it wasnt the band) Obviously everyone has their own music taste but unless you like the genre of terribleness you probably wouldnt enjoy it. No one at my table of very musically diverse people liked it. Normally I wouldnt judge a place based off one bad experience but this was so bad it wont get a second chance.

I could write you a long extended post about everything that happened here, but I do not find that to be necessary. I order to go and here are my thoughts: The food is not worth the price The restaurant is out of simple supplies like lids for to go drinks To-go/lunch ordering line way too long for someone who ordered a to-go order (we were there for 30 minutes). Their drinks are terrible. Go with something normal like coke or pepsi, not some off name brand. If they want to get technical on the locally, technically coke is locally owned. When I did finally get my food it was cold, but since we had already wasted a half hour we were not going to ask them to remake it. Anyway, I think that if they had systems in place this would not have happened. Hopefully they get better, but I will not be back to find out.

We were in for the first time on a Thursday night. We got in right away. Our waitress Kara was AMAZING and the real reason for the 3 stars. We ordered 2 meats & 2 sides ( ribs & brisket with fries and coleslaw; honey dijon chicken sandwich with a baked potato. The food was under achieving at best. My husband who has been in the food business for over 25 years could do better at home. The ribs were over done as well as the brisket. Neither had any flavor. The coleslaw was not even edible. It is bad when KFC has better coleslaw. It is a wonderful concept but it was NOT a BBQ resturant. We are not sure if well come back or just go to Blue Door the next time. Our server and the atmosphere are the only reason we even gave 3 stars.

The service was terrible. One order was forgotten after they ran out of what was originally ordered. Called ahead and asked if family friendly. Wanted kids to see fiddle player. Waited an hour, told 30 min wait. Couldnt seat us near music. Asked if music could be played in back and told no. Offered to pay cover, but no music in the back. When busgirl brought my 5 years olds food she handed him the tray instead of finding place on the table. When he tried to set it down he almost knock his drink off the table. I caught it, busgirls back was turned as she was already leaving. Overall, total failure. And I am a big supporter of live music and locally owned. Check my other reviews.

Got my first peek at the new Willies on Southland on Tuesday night. Was blown away. Much bigger, nicer, and inviting than the old place. Must be an all new staff as the only face I recognized from the old place was Willies. None the less, staff was helpful and attentive and service was really good considering it was a packed house. The ribs and baked sweet potato were first rate. The Kentucky Hoss Cats (local honky tonk group) was first rate as well. Id say Willie and his new partners have hit a grand slam. Put a visit to the new Willies on the top of your bucket list. Make it when the Kentucky Hoss Cats are in the house and youll hit your own grand slam.

Tried Willies hoping for a close go to bbq joint. I got the fried chicken tenderloin wrap and fries. Fries were like warm. My wife ordered the pulled pork wrap and loaded baked potato. Her potato had burnt bacon. We would gladly give them the benefit of the doubt if it was busy, but it wasnt. Seemed like they were getting rid of leftover lunch rush food. I would be willing to try it again except for the fact that neither my wife or I enjoyed any of the four different bow sauces at all. There are too many choices in Lexington to be so lackluster.

Ribs were overcooked. Forgot to make our apps then rushed them. Sides were dressed incorrectly. Were out of things but did not know that before we ordered. Employees bickering about who gets paid what behind us. Off duty staff hanging out in front. Waitresses sitting on counters when we came in. Very unprofessional. Will never return and will never again listen to who sent me here. I have had BBQ in Memphis, St.Louis, Kansas city, Texas, etc and this place should not be in the same conversation. Only "Locally Known" for a reason.

We were very disappointed. The staff (which looked like they had not showered in days) were slow and unhelpful even though we were one of just a few tables there. The food was terrible. My husbands beef tips were mostly fat and my chicken burger was incredibly dry. Portions were tiny and not worth the price you pay. The bartender did nothing but give me eyes and stare the whole time we were there while Im sitting with my husband. Overall it was a terrible experience and we will not be going back.
