After reading some negative reviews of this place I was hesitant to buy tickets for a recent show. Because I really wanted to see the headliner (and because tickets were only $13) I decided to take a chance. Glad I did. My roommate and I booked a room not far away, uber was under $5 and was there within 10 minutes on a rainy Friday night, walked up the stairs and my will call tickets were ready and waiting. No problems so far. Sound check was a little behind (6 musicians playing an assortment of instruments takes time to tune in) so we sat down at the bar. There we greeted by a very friendly and professional bartender. Domestic beers were $3, shots $4. You can smoke at the bar. Once doors to the perfomance area were open we went down the stairs into a small auditorium, capacity in the 500-600 range. Smoking is not allowed in any of the three performance areas. There may have been 250 people (shame on you people of Cincinnati and northern Kentucky) in attendance. The sound was great for a small venue. The sound guy may have pushed the volume towards the extreme end of loud, but any feedback was quickly adjusted and the show kept going. Once that limit was established there were no issues the rest of the evening. Overall great time. Dont listen to the negative reviews about this place. Go. Have a good time. Enjoy this historical venue, the affordable tickets, and the touring bands that play here. I drove 90 miles to see Saint Motel and glad I made that decision.

The house itself is historical, and the venue is pretty cool to check out live music. The main stage is downstairs, and can host nationally touring acts, as well as larger shows of more local and regional acts. Standing room only, the room can get pretty lively with the right act, and its a fun place! There are smaller stages on the other floors. The lounge on the 2nd floor could be cool for smaller acts, but was EXTREMELY smoky, in what I thought was a smoke-free venue. the place, in general, just feels like it needs a good cleaning, and some updating to bring it into this century.

This place has potential but the line to get in was ridiculous. No one had respect to get off the stage when told so We just sat there with no music for several period of time here and there. We waited 45 minutes even with tickets and then the bartender was so rude. He was cursing and yelling at everyone before taking an order. He would stop working to just curse someone out. I asked him a question and he even found a way to throw in a few curses. He definitely cant handle pressure well and killed the mood for many. Rudest bartender I ever encountered.

Great laid back atmosphere, awesome staff members, down to earth good people. Dont have to worry about watching your back ,the staff has great security. Its like going to a family reunion with killer bands playing on different levels of the building. Id highly recommend this place for others to check out.

Been here twice in a year. Once Im downstairs auditorium type venue, most recently upstairs in a very small dark and intimate venue. Both great and staff all great. Would recommend.

Great venue. Alot of versatality of bands that play. From easy, slower music; to very high octane and intensity music

Ok place to see a show, many bands refuse to play here because of previous treatment by some promoters.
