I enjoy going to MOTR, it usually isnt as packed as Japps or Neons, but the drink prices are good for the area and the music scene is fantastic. The owner obviously takes rock and roll to heart, because you can tell theres a lot of thought put into their events calendar, and a lot of them are up and coming bands. The food is so-so, in my opinion, but this is a rock bar, not a hip restaurant, if youre looking for good food head over to Vine Street. But if youre looking for great music and affordable brews, come to MOTR.

Its been awhile since I visited MOTR last probably because my experiences really werent that good. Now I have met a lot of bad bartenders in my life, a couple at MOTR, but tonight not only was my bartender Nonta (sp?), stellar, but just watching her work her craft for everyone else was natural, precise, and most importantly attentive. Along with the music lineup, clean bathrooms, and overall service I was really impressed with my visit tonight. Thanks for bringing great music, beers, and overall good to OTR/Cincy.

Great music venue in OTR featuring affordable drinks and low/no cover local bands. This spot totes a long bar in the front with a stage all in the main room. While the front room becomes cramped it really opens up as you step through, with a basement level full of pinball machines and other games and seating and a back patio and fire pit. What I love most however is the local bands it features and the low cost drinks. Definitely one of the prime spots on Main Street.

This is by far my favorite bar in the city. Staff is friendly, crowd is eclectic, bar is big and comfortable. Free live music every night, and writers nights and motr mouth bring authentic local talent to life. Ive discovered some phenomenal small bands here. The food is delicious (and veg/vegan friendly!) and the kitchen has awesome hours. This is one of my favorite places for brunch, or just to kick it any time - day or night.

A terrific laid-back, community pub, with a good selection of beers and a surprisingly good choice of vegetarian options. The bbq tofu sandwich is served with a generous portion of fries, enough to satisfy the heartiest appetite. Youll barely have room for a Chili Mac - a bowl of macaroni, cheese and veggie chilli - so make a second trip or share with a friend.

One of the best near-nightly venues for music in the city. The place mixes old architecture with new attitude, the bands they bring in are always worth seeing, and the often-overlooked food menu is tasty enough to be judged outside of its mere bar fare category. I always take friends here that visit from out of town, and they always feel the same as I do!

Some of the best local music in Cincinnati consistently rolls through this pub and you can catch a free show most days of the week. Overall just a great atmosphere; its a little divey, but the juke box and walls covered in classic music posters make it great. Staff are friendly and the food is a really good value (MOTR burger is my staple).

I have seen some awesome bands go through here. If you are looking for a place to chill on the weekends, this is not it. Drinks were pretty expensive when I went, and because of crowds, always expect a wait for a drink on the weekends (which is expected). If you are wanting to hear some great, loud band play this place is perfect.

Fantastic bar to check out for live tunes and summer time back patio bevvies. Makes you feel like youre watching a band that no one has ever heard of and youre a talent agent and youve just stumbled on the next _____ . Go with friends when Japps line is overflowing. Enjoy the outdoor space when it heats up.

One of my favorite places to eat down in OTR. The fries are excellent! I love that they have free music every night of the week too, it makes it easier to explore new artists without any financial investment in them. I love taking people new to town over here, I think it helps showcase OTR very well.

Free live music every night in Downtown Cincy? Automatic 5 stars. This place offers a great atmosphere and staff is friendly. They sport a great beer selection including IPAs to your hearts desire. The place can get pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights so plan accordingly.

Friendly, and quick bartenders even though there was a good size crowd. Enjoyed the live band "The New Royals" they had that night. Room to dance if you choose or hang back and mingle if dancing isnt your thing. Reasonably priced drinks and some really cool vintage decor.

The venue is great! However, the workers are intolerable and mostly hateful. Obviously they hate their job, which makes the experience less then worth wild. Only time to go is when a band is playing - Food doesnt compare to other OTR establishments.

Easily the best free music venue in the city. Great bands, delicious mac and cheese, and reasonable drink prices. The back door courtyard is recommended. I only wish the stage setup was more conducive to moving around during busier times.

The music is truly special and there is a live show every night! The owners and staff ooze rock and roll as you can see the second you walk in. This place is no frills and is not to be missed for the true fan of life and music!

Great venue to go see not-quite-national-touring acts and local bands. Decent patio area. Standard bar food. Gets a little busy for my taste on Friday nights. Stage is very small, which could be good or bad according to taste.

The bartender downstairs was a disrespectful jerk. I ordered two beers, and barely had time to find a dollar for a tip before he said "I LIKE TIPS" and walked away. Didnt tip the next time I went up, thats for sure.

MOTR is great. It is our neighborhood bar down here in OTR. They frequently have great bands playing, but if you arent looking for that you can always head downstairs for some pinball and a more quite atmosphere.

I really like MOTR everytime I go there but the quality of the sound is very inconsistent which sets off my ADHD like no other. I suspect the technical training and experience. No matter, long live the pub!

Their brunch is delicious....breakfast tacos with spicy chorizo! Also get the loaded tater tots with either their homemade bloody mary mix or a mimosa. Parking on side streets where available.

Its a little grungy (in a good way). I never go when its crowded, but the Sunday morning brunch options are good hangover recovery. There are some arcade games in the basement.

Food isnt very good. The menu seems legitimately, but execution was lacking. Corn beef hash was drowning in grease. Im sure the music scene is nifty, but the food didnt deliver.

Food really isnt all that. Itd be nice to have something excellent to eat for the price they charge. Great atmosphere though and the employees are friendly and do a great job.

The atmosphere in this place is awesome! I could spend many hours in here listening to music with my friends. I just wont go hungry. Everything we tried was too salty.

Great music venue with a small stage. . . Was a slow nite and the service was very attentive. Music provided by "The Yeah Tones". Good food and drink.
