Talon Winery was in an excellent option for a wedding venue. We planned our wedding in Lexington, KY this March while living in El Paso, TX. We wanted something simple and fun for our family that would bring everyone together and Talon did a great job of accommodating and working with us step by step to make the day the best it could be. Lauren and the ladies at Talon Winery do an excellent job of explaining various options for how to plan and execute your event. They are very supportive, professional, and respectful and we greatly enjoyed working with them. The Vineyard in Lexington is located well enough outside the city to provide a spectacular event in the rolling hills of Kentucky. The expenses were more reasonable compared to other venues and Talon works with you to help find the best vendors to make things even better. The wine was also fantastic. My wife and I really enjoyed the afterglow but many of our guests enjoyed the Chardonnay as well. The setting of the venue through the vineyards, up the hills, and beside the lake truly make it a great experience.

Beautiful setting. Staff was not attentive because there were too many young single girls there. Someone should tell them an older lady might just have more money to spend and may know more about wine and service. Tastings for the young girls were presented quicker and were larger. I was forgotten about twice. The tasting area is too small for the venue which prevented any discussion about the wines poured out. It felt like an afterthought in the design. Wine is overpriced for the quality.

I got lucky and had the grandson of owner..What a great time the wife and I had. He was so friendly and loved it when I paired the wines with foods...lol.. He must of thought I was goofy . Then we told him that I was Culinary trained and former member of wine tasters guild...lol Best thing was the ability to ask questions and get well informative answers. Bought a few bottles and a nice cheese spread they make too...happy happy happy...will be back again though I live in mi I will return.

A friend came in town and was looking for stuff to do. I had seen it riding past on my motorcycle trips and thought Id stop by. Very glad I did, very nice people, good wine. Most were a tad sweet for me, but my friend loved them and we bought a few bottles. Lovely grounds too. They have an event center there but I didnt check it out. Had a nice "tour" of sorts in the wine making area. Very informative.

I had heard good things about this place so I decided to take my mother here for her birthday. We were almost completely ignored at the tasting table, yet the bartender still expected a tip and didnt give us our change (we had to ask). This place reeked of snooty uppityness and up-tightness. We later went to Equus Run and had a MUCH more enjoyable experience.

Was told the wait for the wine bar would be 15 minutes. Meanwhile, a bridal shower was busy getting plastered at a wine tasting. Cool. Nobody offered us any tastings or anything else while we waited. Ended up leaving after waiting for 40 min with nothing to show. Poor service and management of their wine tasting bar.

Poor service. If you rent the Barn for event be careful if it is cold outside because that place is freezing and they dont warm it up. They ask for extra money to put lousy propane heaters and charge 100 per heater. Staff is very unexperienced. Waste of money. If there is minuse review i would pick that

Excellent quality wines at a very reasonable price. I particulalrly recommend the Bluegrass Blush. Wonderful nose, somewhat fruity smelling without being pop. Tastes lightly tart with a nice balance of sweet. Aftertaste lets you know a lot of care was taken in making it.

Groomsman in a wedding, and granted its August, but it is 94 degrees in the main barn, supposedly the AC is on. They claim that its normal and not willing to help out. Its cooler outside!! I have always heard good things about Talon but yet to see it.

The property was beautiful and the wine was surprisingly delicious! We left with a lot of bottles in tow. The lady that served us was full of energy and very fun to chat with. Wish we wouldve stayed for a glass and enjoyed the scenery.

Love this local winery! We have hosted several weddings here. It is a classy, beautiful, Kentucky venue. Perfect setting for any event. They have weekend events such as jazz concerts and sell local products. A must when in Lexington!

The place was beautiful and Im sure the wine would have been good. However the front desk staff told us there would be a 15 minute wait but we ended up waiting 40 minutes and finally left, disappointed.
