Vaudeville is pretty neat. It reminds me of a smaller Woolys kind of. The bar runs along one side, then theres a very open area in front of the stage. They have an upstairs with some tables for seating, as well. The bathrooms are located behind the stage area so you have to walk backstage essentially to get to them. It kinda feels like youre a rockstar as you make your way up there. The only thing I didnt enjoy was the quality of the sound operator. My boyfriend has played here a couple times with his band. Anyhow the bartender is great, and the bar area is cool with a bunch of string lights up. Makes for a pretty Instagram backdrop. Vaudeville usually books pretty new (or young) bands so they allow folks under 21 until like 9pm or something. Its a good venue to check out - especially if you know someone who is playing there.

Nice little venue. Smaller club thats a little nostalgic. Took my daughter to see Vesperteen play and it was a neat show. It wasnt crowded so everyone was able to meet the band and get autographs after the show. Worth the 2.5 hour drive. Only complaint - Different times for the show were listed (Facebook, Tilly, website) so we called several times but no answer even after doors opened. Would recommend and would visit again. Its nice to have a venue like this in Iowa.

Its not the best bar in town, but its got a decent beer selection, and they are a great place for local, and unsigned bands to play. They always have a show, and every band I know had played here at last once. Plus cool atmosphere, and bartenders are good. Definitely worth checking out

This is a solid venue that accepts any genre of music. Its a historical music venue in the Des Moines area. It can be a bit dimly lit inside at times, but nothing to worry about. Fair drink prices and good tunes!

One of the best venues in Des Moines. Ive seen some amazing bands here that have grown vastly in popularity since they played here. Great small venue that always brings in good acts.

I usually only come here for concerts. Its kind of small and definitely a dive... But you know what... I like it. Its got a second level too. Bar service is decent. Drinks are weak.

Decent venue, but the two male bartenders working the punk rock pizza party were the biggest douche bags and thats just unforgivable.
