I know when you are not the host of a party you really do not have much say in how things are done in regards to the party but aside from that you do. This past Sunday my daughter attended a party for one of her close friends and her mother and I stayed throughout the duration of that party so we could play with her as well. We showed up to confusion on where the party was if it was in the party rooms or out in the main area in a designated area, it ended up being in the main area which took nearly 5 minutes to establish. I had located the party prior to an associate finding it. Moving forward, we then went to get pop and did as such but realized for the 15 people we had nowhere near enough cups (8 kids paid for) so we went to get cups for the extra people only to find out that just for a cup, even if we had pitchers of pop was over $2 (via Andrew I believe was his name). We passed and later got "water cups" for the extra people. Who charges $2 for an empty cup when the soda is already purchased? Not to mention the party was only provided with 6 of the 8 kids cups in the R/W/B Pepsi cups, after asking my friend (the childs father hosting the party) why my daughter and one of the other children had received water cups and was told "they ran out" however there was multiple other cups up there matching those that the other kids had. We then move forward, the facility in regards to the play area is improved, slightly, not much but the ball pit is a huge miscue, when I ventured as a kid that is what I loved the most. However, since the last time I was there (1 year or so) it appears that a majority of games were moved, replaced or non-existent which is disheartening to me because my 3 year old daughter had 2 games that classified in something that she would either enjoy or could play that she would be able to understand, in the end I get it, the kids want the tickets for prizes but more variety would be nice to have for the kids that are 3-4 that are not fully developed and understand the Monopoly Game or say can play Skee Ball without parental assistance. Overall I give the facility a 2. I personally feel that PlayStation as gone downhill, almost the same as the Chuck E Cheese that we had locally that has now been removed for some time.

Upon entering the playstation the staff is friendly, however, the website stated one price and they charged me another. Then when we walked in, I had a bag of knitting, a diaper bag, and empty cups to fill with soda or whatever (even though I prefer my kids dont DRINK soda...but thats all they offer) and I had a coffee in hand from starbucks. After I paid $30 to get in, he looked over the counter and told me that I couldnt bring in any food or beverages. OK. First off, I just paid $30 to get into the playstation. I get that thats the policy, but it doesnt explain the people with 3 cakes that came in after me. If youre going to follow the rules, you need to follow the rules for everyone. I also, have come in with a coffee in the past. For a simple coffee, this power hungry staff member ruined 4 kids afternoon. Thanks PlayStation. Ill be sure to let everyone know my experience.

We take the grandkids there regularly. They have a great time. We were really down to see that it closed, and glad to see it reopen. Whats great is that the kids have a good time, and there are a lot of tables where all can sit, snack, read .... and let the venue do the babysitting. One admission price is for as long as you want (only kids pay). It is very cost-effective considering the hourly charge of other places. Really, it is one of the things to do with the grandkids in Cedar Rapids that is fun for them, comfortable for us, can last a pretty long time (we average 3 hours), and is good value. I rarely leave reviews, but I saw some of the negative ones and was afraid they might make some customers give it a pass when they shouldnt.

Went to my nieces birthday party there. The floor of the party room was extremely sticky, like it could take your shoe off it was so sticky. Very over priced, went as far as 100 bucks over the estimated original, and all that was purchased extra was a pizza. Which seemed to be from Aldis. The bathroom smelled awful... In the game room, the machines kept tickets and ran out of tickets, although the staff helping out with that area was very nice. It seems like a nice place that simple tasks go without being accomplished.

My daughter absolutely loved this place. Besides me crawling around with her in the tubes, I had a blast too. The staff are very helpful. Especially making the arcade games work when they break down. Very fast and keen on making things right. Speaking of which the games are very kid friendly. Easy to win lots of tickets. Will definitely be coming here when shes 2.

The Play Station is one of the most average places for childrens entertainment. Its a notch above the McDonalds PlayPlace, but also a notch below Planet X, pre-JoAnn. If you or your child wants a 6/10 birthday party that no one will likely remember, but still have a good time at, then The Play Station is the place to be.

Always have fun here, just wish they would make it bigger, add to the play are and add even more arcade games, food is exspenvise and could be a lot better, decent options though, wish coins were cheaper and prizes were more resonable ticket prices.

Slides arent slippery, you get hung up on them. The place is brightly painted with fans to keep you cool. Not a bad place. I liked that I saw them cleaning inside the climbing gym. The kids had fun. The arcade isnt worth buying tokens for though!

Kids and adults had a great time, best place ever to have a nice small birthday party. Seemed like the place was actually relatively clean for as much play that goes on here. Weeks later... Needs a good cleaning! No hand sanitizer...

All three ticket counting machines are broken.. lost more tokens than I had actually work.well only 9 .. but still.. who wants to chase down an employee every 2 minutes. The majority of the arcade takes 2-4 tokens anymore as well.

A great place to take the kids for an outing—especially on cold winter days. The play structure is fantastic; just watch that your littler kids are using age appropriate slides (some of them are a tad advanced for 2-3yr olds).

My kids enjoyed the playstructure. I noted several places on the structure (a lose step, fraying protective covering on a metal support, etc.) that could benefit from some maintance. Overall an enjoyable afternoon.

This has got to be one of the best places to take kids. We had our 5 grandkids there for 5 hours. Food was average price and not bad. Make there own pizzas there. All in all it was a great time. Thanx Playstation!

Fun place to let young children run for a couple of hours. Theres food and games too, similar to Chuck e cheese but Ive not done that option. Play place - its like a McDonalds play place on steroids.
