UN-pleasantly pleased with this place. The layout is great but the management is Horrible. The first time I went there, it started to rain on the 5th hole so we went to the club house. After waiting 40 min to see if the rain would pass, we asked for a rain check. Denny (the pga professional) told me to go play out in the rain! Are you kidding me? So I decided to leave without a rain check and decided not to play there for a year. After persuasion of my friends, i went back a second time. The first thing they do is set off a group of 5 right after a two-some on a Saturday morning. The round took 5 hours to play that day. The other day I went there... which will be my last. The round took 6 hours to play. At the turn there was at least 6 groups backed up waiting. The managers blamed it on the short par 4 on whole 10. I have played hundreds of rounds of golf and it has never taken 6 hours to play. So if you want a course that is poorly managed that will affect your whole parties golf game in a negative way. Go to pleasant run golf course.

Ive always loved this place as its the best city course there is. Today, was not one of those days. I came after work and paid my $20 for 18, by the 4th hour I got caught behind a foursome that was inexcusably slow who wouldnt let me play through. I walked off the course after an hour and a half and only playing 6 holes as the group in front of them was just as slow. Went to tee off on the 10th to get ahead and there were random guys not playing just using it as a driving range. I went inside the pro shop to find someone to ask for a rain check or anything and nobody was to be found. Very unsatisfied overall and will probably not venture back which is a shame because the course is in great shape. Just dont plan on playing here during the week unless youre retired or unemployed and can play during the middle of the day.

As others have noted this is an easy course if you can stay out of trouble, but many fairways are less than 20 yards wide, and are well guarded by trees. There are many pronounced elevation changes throughout, producing both blind, and downhill shots which will deceive you into over or under hitting greens. Creeks which criss-cross the course will catch errant shots, and are difficult to hit recovery shots out of. Greens are very sparsely bunkered, and all of them are easily approachable except #10, and #12 from the fairways. Course management, club selection, and hitting fairways will produce low scores, while poor tee shots will produce frustration.

I cant speak to the other review on here, but my experiences with this course have been great. The course is very nice and offers some good views, culminating with the 18th tee off of the top of a hill. I have yet to have a bad experience with this course, outside of slicing a few balls on to the road. Overall great course for the money.

Wonderful course...in very good shape! Yes, greens were a little quick, but in very good condition and provided a good challenge. Took 4 Hrs.15 minutes for a round, pace of play was not that bad for our foursome. I really enjoyed the layout, staff was "Pleasant"(just had to!) I look forward to many more rounds here!

Very challenging course. the greens are small and always very fast. Denny Ford and his crew do a great job. Management is very friendly. They could use a marshall occassionally to help the novice golfers keep pace. Great value for the dollars. Short course from the white tees, but tough to score well.
