Played 14 holes at twilight on a Tuesday during June 2017. The cost was $20 twilight rate for all that you could play. For a city course, Sarah Shank is in exceptional shape. The greens are very quick, and there are even a few that have strong undulation. I played Golf Club of Indiana (semi-private) this past weekend and Sarah Shanks greens are nearly on par with GCIs greens, which is remarkable considering how much cheaper Sarah Shank is. The fairways were also in good shape and playing pretty quick, even if they arent bent-grass. I did not play out of any of the sand traps, but they did appear to be lacking some sand, again understandable for a city course and the value. The staff was plenty friendly. I will be back several times this summer.

In response to the review on October 9, 2011. I attended the golf outing and the outing cord. was out of line by yelling at the course owner. The course owner was trying to explain the pace of play issues and the fact that most players in the outing had never played golf before. I work at a golf course in southern Indiana and totally understand where the golf course owner was coming from. The staff was very polite, course was in great condition and I will be back to play when Im back in Indianapolis. Good job Sarah Shank, keep up the good work!!

The greens were ok, That is it for the positive. Now for $36 for 18 with a cart, I would have liked to see all the trash picked up all over the course, IT was just ridiculous the amount of trash that was on the course, Crossing the bridge after teeing off on 18, I look at the curb on the bridge and a used Tampon was just chilling there. WOW!!!! what a value for your money...............

Attended a company outing and was treated very poorly by the man who claimed to be the "owner" of a public, city course. Staff in the clubhouse was very unfriendly as well. Course was in great shape, but after being treated as rudely as we were during the group outing, I will never come back to this course.

Great municipal course. Well manicured, rolled greens make it challenging for the average golfer. Sand traps are hit and miss. A few holes are lower elevation and traps retain water after rainfall.

The course was in great shape. Pace of play for a Saturday morning was very good. I would recommend anyone not looking to spend a lot of money on a round of golf to check this place out.

Best condition Ive ever seen the course. Cant be a public course in town in any better shape right now. Awesome job being done at Shank!
