What a hidden gem of a brewery. I found this place after getting a tip from a friend who used to go here often when he used to work in the area. He posted that they were having a special beer for sale that isnt seen that often. So, I decided to check out this place for myself, despite the 45 minute drive. At first, I couldnt find the place since there were no visible signs (wandered into the residential area next to the place). But luckily I found it, a little unassuming shop in the middle of a not-so industrial park. I got my beer (which is very good, FYI) and decided to try some samples as well which I am very impressed with (the Maui Trickster is a must try). I also met the owner who was very nice and appreciative of me making it out to try his beers. Ill definitely be around more, especially when making my rounds to Kenosha for "Wisconsin Only beers".

What a wonderful brewery. The workers are very welcoming and truly do what they can to make their guests comfortable and happy. I have never found a beer that I like up until coming to this place. My husband being the beer drinker was the reason we decided to try it out. Both times I have made a visit I have found a different beer I like thanks to the employers honestly listening to what I like and trying their best to find a match. ZuimBier is a quant place where everyone is so friendly and you leave looking forward to visiting again. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know each of your guest and sitting down to talk. There are not many places that take the time like Zuimbier does to have conversations with their guests and I am so lucky to live close by!

Cozy taproom. Everyone that works here does it for the live of the beer. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They always have a cider on tap if you are gluten free and always have a variant with different spices to keep it fresh (lemon lavendar, cinnamon spice, herbal tea infusion). Their beer menu is constantly shifting and evolving and you are guaranteed to find something different here...try the coconut infused beer if its on tap!

Great customer service once you walk in the door. Totally non racial. Beer enthusiasts are loved here. If you love craft beer, then youll love it here. More than 6 selections and all beers are ABV 6% and up. Finally a craft beer brewery in Waukegan! Why drink generic beer when there are locations where people"CRAFT" beer. Bottom line. . Great location, great atmosphere, GREAT beer. This is the spot close to home.

I can understand why everybody gives this place "5 Star" reviews. The staff is very friendly. The manager/owner Larry is very friendly and highly customer service oriented. I really like the cozy and private atmosphere. The beer is very good and I like fact that they often provide free pretzels. Great place to hangout and very welcoming atmosphere. I hope they have continued success.

Excelent quality, delicious tasting beer. Zumbier owner/ Beervangelist Larry Bloom prides himself in being the owner of the first brewery in Waukeegan since 1916. He and his team are dedicated to bring great quality brew as well as fun food pairings to Lake county.
