Largest Chandelier, Beautiful Theater, See Photos The Rialto Square Theater in downtown Joliet, IL is a gem. This beautiful theatre began life as a movie palace with a gorgeous pipe organ and hosted Vaudeville stage acts. Today the Rialto is big enough to attract big names and host private events year round. But it is small enough that every seat is close to the stage. Tickets are often half the price of Chicago theaters and you sit closer. This classic theater along Historic Route 66 has a mirrored lobby designed like Versailles. The main floor, balcony and ceiling create great acoustics giving great sound quality. And the Duchess Chandelier is the largest in North America. (See photos.) Call ahead to see about a guided tour. The Rialto is just a block away from Harrah’s Casino with good rooms and food for cheap. See the rialtosquare website for schedules of events and concerts.

Il a été inauguré en 1926. Il servait également à lépoque de salle de cinéma. Cest un incontournable de la Route 66.

So many great have entertained at this beautiful and architectural Theatre. It was wonderful to see this amazing place as an adult. Seeing as the last time was as a child. Yet the magic awe and wonder were still so prevalent as an adult. I couldnt keep my eyes from roaming from the wonderful stage and act to the amazing ceilings, seats, and architecture or this amazing place. This is still to this day one of my favorite theatres I cant wait to bring my children soon. Thanks Rialto square Theatre.

The Rialto has the most beautiful design and details in the interior of the theater that I have ever seen. The lobby is almost a block long and looks like a European palace. But, the best part is the seating and the sound quality inside the theater. There is not a bad seat - from the front to the back and into the balcony. Easy parking and great restaurants within a block. Go to Chicago Street Pub after the show for a live music act.

This is a great venue to see live performances. This is an older theater with classic ornamental decor. They do not have stadium seating, so your view may be a little obstructed if a tall person sits in front of you. The lighting and the sound are also very good. The theater is well kept and clean and the staff are helpful and courteous. Parking is available near by in outside lots as well as an enclosed lot about a block away.

This is a beautiful theater to see a music concert or a show, in down town Joliet IL. The Italian marble &_real gold inlays is bueatiful. This is a awesome place to see a concert music, a play or musical, even comedy or live comics on stage. This is a historic theater located in downtown Joliet IL. You must go see a show or music concert there to appreciate every thing this historic beautiful theater has to offer.

They wanted my 8 month old to have a ticket for an event for the Park District. He cant even sit in a seat by himself. I understand that times are hard in Joliet, but cmon. Its a beautiful facility and one worker had enough common sense to allow us through, but then the older gentleman on the second floor continued the idiocy. Again, a beautiful facility, but completely lacking common sense for ticketing.

The Rialto Square Theater is one of Illinois treasures. I remember it from childhood seeing Christmas plays and musicals during school field trips. As an adult I now admire the beautiful building surrounding amazing performances. The whole area around the theater is beautiful as well. Love all the local business and food!

My husband say a Jimmy Buffet cover band there. We had a blast. They have a very nice lobby area where we had coctails and appetizers. The view was great from all the seats. The acoustics were great as well. It was easy to get too although the parking availability wasnt real clear.

Been here a few times for some comedians and it was a beautiful old facility that requires a walk through a shady neighborhood. Saw both Lisa Lampanelli and Lewis Black here, so I would suggest buying tix early to get good seats, but no bad seats in the entire house!
