I rate 5 stars because the service is just so damn good! These guys truly love your business. They appreciate everyone who steps foot on the course. I would not say that this is a very challenging course. No bunkers. But it drains very well for a course in this region. Ive played after a rainstorm with no problems. One challenge is how long the course is. Two par 5s that are very long. On hole #3, Ive landed the green in two shots one time, 300yd drive and 200+ shot from fairway. Both par 3s are at or over 200yds (blue tees). A few doglegs. If you have a great tee shot on 7 (par 4) you have a good chance at birdie. Hole 1 is tough to birdie. Hit over the big tree on hole 2, and loft it, you will be golden, but hit it too hard and you bounce down into the pond. Great practice course. And pretty average to above average pace of play. Greens are in good shape. Fairways and fringe are average shape.

This is a great course, and is not a shorty par-3 by any means. It is supposed to be the longest 9-hole course in Illinois. One of the par-5s is around 550 yards, both par-3s are 180+ yards (hole number 8 always plays longer - usually hitting a 3-metal from the tee), and the par-4s are all in the 330+ range. Pretty wide open, no sand, but trees can bring trouble on a couple of holes. The only driveable hole is number 9 (par-4, 336 yards) but if you play it in mid-summer with hard ground and are a decent hitter, you can get there! Only drawback is that it can be slow (brutal) play. Get there before 8:30am on the weekend and breeze right through. Staff is very friendly and professional. If you dont have time for 18 this is a great option (or play it twice - second time around is ten bucks).

Came out for a round of FOOT GOLF with my girlfriend and our twelve year-old daughters. Beautiful course. Pleasant, Helpful, Attentive staff. My only beef might be that a.few of the holes are not even with the ground; ball catches the plastic lip and skips off or over. Effort has been made to correct this at some holes, but not all. Despite this, this imperfection fails to rise to the level of a ratings hit. Five-stars for this course. Well be back.

The 9 hole Cook County Forest Preserve Course is more often than not in excellent condition. The course drains well and is a challenge at 3400 yards from the blue tees. The rates, especially if you have a Forest Preserve Golf card, are very low. I would recommend the course to everyone, from beginner to scratch golfer. The only drawback is that it can get quite crowded and slow.

Ive played here a couple times this summer. Its a great course for the casual golfer. Friendly staff, food and beer at the hospitality tent on the 4th tee, good prices, and NO SAND TRAPS all add up to a really good time. Night golf was a lot of fun, too. (Friday nights after 8 PM) Certainly an interesting experience!

Very long 9 hole course exceptionally well maintained when I went last week. Starter is a good guy who gave me a ton of info playing my first time here. Decently priced for weekday play.

Nice 9-hole course if you dont like sand traps because this track doesnt have any. Bring your driver cause youll need it from the back tees on some of the long par 4s and one par 5.
