My review is based on the banquet service. I held my Daughters Bridal Shower here on July 20th, 2014. I was absolutely blown away by the service, food, facilities & atmosphere. We had the Main Room. I started planning the shower in early April and had scoured the south suburbs for the "perfect" place. I had a difficult time finding somewhere that fit my needs. I was looking for a nice place with reasonable prices & good service. It sounds easier than it actually is! I found in my search that either the prices were ridiculously high for what you get or the people were rude to deal with. After feeling almost defeated, I decided to look into Cog Hill. Immediately upon calling to inquire I was taken with the friendly & helpful staff. First Luke helped with choosing which room would best suit my needs. We met with him to give the deposit & he was a very nice, professional young man. I even asked if they did "tastings" for showers so I could make a food decision. He said not usually but he would be happy to have me come in one day to have lunch & try what I wanted! I never did go back because of time restraints but as it got closer to our date, I received a call from Dan to touch base. He was a huge help & I decided on the Chicken Ala King, house salad, tomato basil soup & green beans almondine for our guests. Then topped it off with a strawberry sundae! Great decision because everyone raved about it! The food was high quality & very tasty. The servers were polite & attentive. Dan was amazing as well. Kept checking to make sure everything was just right for us. Even helped my husband at the end get carts for the gifts & take everything to the car! Choosing Cog Hill was the best decision I couldve ever made. Definitely would highly recommend & definitely will be back! Thank you staff at Cog Hill!! Lynn & Kenneth Schneider

played course 2 the ravines on 8/9/13. The worst $70.00 ever spent! Our T-time was set for 1:40pm payed a premium price of $70.00 to play a 6 hour round. 1st of all paying that kind of money there should be rangers out there making sure the pace of play is acceptable. The course was not maintained well and thought we were gonna get stung by hornets on the 2nd hole. there were hundreds of them. its obvious they dont water the course or maintain it well. We complained about the rounds pace of play after our round and the person in the pro shop said he knew since most people also complained and told everyone that was starting after 3pm that they probably wouldnt finish. If you know that the pace of play is 6 hours a round you should get ranger out there to make sure people are moving at pace, but maybe thats there goal so you can keep buying there overpriced beer from the cart girl. Not sure who manages this place, but theyre doing a terrible job. Also I live within 5 minutes away from this club! not sure how my friends talked me into playing here, I swore to myself last year that I wouldnt play here again. They really need a wake up call! There are lots of great courses in the area that I would much rather give my business to. Im extremely disappointed with the management of this club. Save your money and go play somewhere else, where they appreciate your business. BTW good luck finding a water cooler on the course, and the golf carts are very old they dont even have a front glass to protect you from possibly being hit by a golf ball and also played Dubs Dread for $155 a round should have a GPS.

Golfed here on 10/08/16 paid 135 dollars to play Dubs. I enjoy spending a little extra to play courses like this about once a month. This was my first experience and Cog Hill and it will also be my last. Upon pulling in and getting my clubs out of the car there was no one at the bag drop, so i walked my clubs into the club house and had to place them on the golf cart myself. While in the clubhouse not only was I told it was cart path only but they had also just aerated the greens the week before (which i was not told about when i booked the tee time over the phone). Then we go to the driving range to hit range balls and it was more mud than grass. I am not sure if they are replanting or what but it was not in good shape. So i paid full price to play a course that you literally couldnt putt on because it was so bumpy from aeration, we had to play auto 2 putt becasue trying to make a 3 footer was even impossible. As for the course it was very wet which is a little understandable because we have had a lot of rain the last few weeks. However, I played Seven Bridges the day before and it was no where near was wet as Cog. I think Seven Bridges or Ruffled Feathers is just as nice for less than half the price. If you want to play just because they had tournaments there over 5 years ago please save your money.

DO NOT consider this place for your wedding. The golf course is obviously their main source of income. I met with the unbelievably rude staff this past weekend. Even though I scheduled an appointment, they made me feel as I was wasting their time. I met with the manager, who responded to questions shortly and rudely. Instead of sitting down to discuss pricing, he told us to get information from the website. I cant believe such a well-respected golf course has such a horrible staff to plan weddings. I would not rely on this staff to help you on your wedding day. I do event planning with my job and was outraged by the horrible service. I would be very cautious before considering allowing these people to help you plan your dream wedding day.

Cog Hill used to be my go-to place for golf, and Im not talking about Dubsdread. I was actually a big fan of courses 1 and 3 because they were nice courses designed for the average player to be challenged, but also to have fun. They werent too penalizing and they are on a lovely piece of land. However, the last couple of times I have been there, Ive been pretty disappointed. The course conditions have been so-so and the staff at the course have been less than welcoming. I wish I could say otherwise, but I really cant recommend the Cog Hill complex any more. There are many, many more options in the Chicagoland area where youll have a better experience for the same or less money.

Cog course 1-3 are very enjoyable. Dubs on the other hand is not worth the $150 green fee. I did play it after the renovation and really did not care for it other than it used to be a PGA Tour stop. The service there is excellent. Only disappointing thing here is there are tons of group outings here and I rarely see any Rangers trying to force them to play fast. So a typical round on a weekend here can go up to 6 hours long if you do not have an early or late afternoon tee time. The Twilight rates are excellent as well. UPDATE 6/5/16: They now have a limited amount of Golf Boards. Very fun to use.
