Ive heard that it wasnt too long ago that this course was in pristine condition. Perhaps the saddest thing is that it wouldnt take a whole lot to return it to that status. While I am FAR from an avid golfer, I know class when I see it, and this course falls below that benchmark. Weeds were abound in the areas of outbuildings, signage, and other places that a simple weedwacker could remedy. We had an 8:30 tee time on a hot summer day, and there was no beverage cart until after 11:00. While the water at the tee boxes was wet, it was lukewarm at best and didnt do much to quench the thirst. The halfway house had a "Closed" sign on the the windows, but there was an employee in the building. When asked if there was a beverage cart on the course, she replied that there is one, but it would just be stating now. As I started to walk out, she told me that she had beer if I really wanted one. When I asked about the closed signs, she stated that she was made to open up. Nothing in the way of snacks, so stock up at the clubhouse if you think you may get hungry during your round. For the record, we only saw the cart twice during the remaining nine holes. The fairways were in good condition, and the greens were acceptable. There was a heavy rain the prior night, so the swampy bunkers were to be expected, I guess. It would have been nice if they had been at least raked, though. The staff at the clubhouse was friendly, and the food was good. Im glad that they added the draft towers to the bar, giving patrons better selection for their after round adult beverage. At $30.00 with a cart for a weekday, it was a decent deal and the course was nice to play, especially for an amateur that doesnt know much better. They could definitely charge more with a few minor improvements.

I would normally not be one to give a poor review of anything. I have always been of the opinion that it is too easy nowadays to trash someone or something on the internet. That being said, Green Garden Country Club deserves a lousy review. I have played this course for many years and changes of ownership. I have watched this course deteriorate for several years now, and I will not go back. Weeds, crabgrass everywhere. We have had a very wet summer, yet I had trouble putting a tee in the rock hard ground. The worst is the ponds full of algae because the owners are too cheap to aerate and use algaecide. Disgusting brown scum on the ponds. I golf for the enjoyment, but also to be in nice scenery. Yes, it costs electricity to power pumps for aeration and watering, but that is part of the business. I know the golf business isnt what it used to be, but you are driving away your customer base with these conditions. Shape up, Green Garden!

My family and I went the first time for a buffet. This was for fathers day. What was supposed to be a very nice time was horrible. First our plates were never picked up from our table. Next we didnt get a refill on drinks. The food is sub-par, nothing special for the price. Lastly be careful everyone if you have more than 5 people for a BUFFET you will be charged 18% !!!! For what ?? i had to get up and get my own plates!!!! NO REFILLS. Way too over priced! MOST of the food was cold for the buffet. And to charge a gratuity? WE called and complained they said thats they way it is, about the gratuity.

Food was good however the website stated $15.95 per person EVERY Sunday. No Where on the website did it say anything regarding Easter Prices. It said "Every Sunday" It DID NOT say excluding holidays or anything like it. Needless to say, they more than doubled the price on Easter and we had no idea until we got the bill. The manager said "We should have asked when we called." This was the first year we ever went out for Easter so I had no idea. He did remove 1 meal off the bill but it was still over $400 for 10 people to eat. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.

Guy at the counter charged me $52 for a box of 24 Mojo balls. I got robbed! Even worse is I never received a receipt so theres not much I can do to resolve this issue. Course itself is nothing special, when we went the grass was still SOAKED in some spots and the greens were a bit chewed up. More than likely will NOT ever be going back here.

The course is going downhill as far as proper maintenance. The greens are not properly maintained. The sand traps are a disaster. The food in the clubhouse is just o.k. The newer 9 hole track is nice. Get a guy in there to supervise maintenance of the course.

Staff is very friendly and personable. Fairways and greens pretty much always looking sharp! Avg. cost to play 18 is $35 retail which is a great value for this quality course. Look for a coupon such as GolfNow to save even more! I highly recommend!

The worst experience on a golf course ever ! Dont waste your money - the Starter, Brian, was obnoxious and rude. Dont spend money to get insulted by the course staff and Manager.

Never golf here. They lied to Golf Now when I tried to get a rain check and said they saw me on the 18th green. I had only played 12 holes.

Had a noon tee time and had to wait until 12:20 to even get a cart. How you make tee times for people without carts just blows my mind.
