I would like to address the 2 1 star reviews, So our customers can get the full story on both. Mr Sung Yoon. these are the facts. The group that pasted you our members of ours. They called the club house multiple times to complain you were looking for golf balls. So my manager just told them to skip and go around you. We did not come out to complain to you. But at the 9th hole you decided to look for balls for over 15 minutes while your son was putting multiple balls on the ninth green. The father and son that where on the ninth tee called the club house and yes my manager came out and told you to get off the 9th green. The course take 1.5 average hours to play and you were out there basically looking for balls. He also stated that the other couple that went around you had the same problem with you. So tell the whole story. Also 2 people with a golf cart for 30 bucks. If you think that"s is expensive I would take up mini golf. Thats 9 bucks each without a cart. And now Mr Jay Kallenbach, I am glad to hear that you agree you were wrong. You are very lucky we didnt call the police as your group would have been sited for carry ons. As every Golfer knows, it is illegal to carry on alcohol. Its one thing to do it as a mistake and there is another when you hide it to get it on the course. Yes we did everything we could for you even letting your group play a 5 some. But when our beer cart came around you never bought anything, But there was always beer in your carts. So my son came out there after the cart girl told him. As you know the law is posted everywhere. On the club house ,1st tee, and even the score card. It is a state law, not ours. But it is a huge part of our income and we are liable for people that have been on our course. When my son came out to the eighth hole and asked if you had beer, Of course he was answered with no,but it was in plain view with a towel over an entire case of beer. So you lie and you cheat and you were asked to leave the course. It would have been more cost to you if we would have just made a call to the police, Which is what we have now decided to do after your case at our course. Please golf at Brookfield Hills because we are honest people and do not like dishonest people as yourself and your group. Again thanks for admitting you were wrong. But please tell the whole story.

Similar Experience to a previous reviewer regarding the staff. We had a disagreement on the course (and Im not saying we werent wrong, as we were). However, the "manager" chose the approach of yelling, talking over us, refusing to have a normal conversation to address the issue. We were trying to be adults about it. It felt like it was a power-trip gone wrong - and an opportunity for him to puff out his chest. Its not like we were at Augusta National. When I offered up a solution, the manager blew it off, and asked us not to return. He referred to us as disrespectful to him multiple times, however apparently its not disrespectful to treat paying patrons in the manner he chose. Im a proud supporter of small business, but if you treat anyone like this - regardless of the scenario - then youve lost any support you might have gotten from me and my family. At this point, even they chose to have us back, Id never give this course another dollar out of my pocket. The course itself is what I expected. Short course, good for beginners. Was in OK condition, however the tee boxes could use some work, but in line with a cheap budget course. They seemed to be flexible, let groups go out in 5 if you kept play moving, etc. This course is worth $10 max, and only if you are a beginner. If youve played any amount, go to Brookfield Hills. Itll cost you $5-$10 more, but the course is 10x quality of this course. Its still a good mix of short and long, but better kept, and in all around better condition. (Supposedly there is a food deal, but after the experience of the day, we chose not to partake.)

My son and I played last Sat. The course was short (mostly par 3) and poorly managed for $30(with coupon). At ninth hole, we were searching for balls and got YELLED by the starter or manager because we were slow! I saw a guy with his young daughter waiting at tee box like 3 min max. I do not believe he complained using his cell phone. At 3rd or 4th hole, one group was passing us while we were waiting for clearing out from the green. After the game, I asked the manager if he usually yell at customers, his answer was more likely yes when we play slow. He did not apologize. It was pure embarrassment. I will never play this course and I do not recommend it anybody who has to look for his/her balls occasionally.

My wife and I played at Deer Haven today. The course has improved from previous reviews. The greens are in excellent condition. The fairways are mixed. A couple of holes are very tight with deep woods and marsh on either side. No room for error. Two of the par 3s require your tee shot to carry to the greens. My wife was unable to hit from the tee on these holes. (It was her first time on a golf course in years.) Aside from some fairway issues, I found Deer Haven a good course to practice my short game. The course is easy to get on before 3 pm on weekdays.

Played there 3 weeks ago, it was the worst experience I ever had on any golf courses I have played. The owner or the guy at the driving range was so rude. I bought a small bucket of range balls and warmed up at the range and hit a few loose balls that went only few yards away. There were no other golfers nearby me. I went to retrieve those balls. The own yelled at me for doing that using nasty language. He claimed those balls were his balls. I cant believe it. There must be something wrong with him mentally, so disgusting !!!!!!!!!!!

Great shorter Course. Friendly Staff. Awesome deals. Its unfortunately that others had issues - but being a family business they give you very much respect AND GREAT SERVICE! Other wise they would not have other great reviews and customer coming back regularly. When I read these issues - its people being very selfish and trying to do their own thing - like look for balls slowing every one else up or bringing your own beer. Not fair a business has to put up with selfish people giving bad ratings.

A decent Par 3 course thats great for beginners or anyone wanting to work on their iron game. The staff as always been friendly, respectful and knowledgeable with our groups. The tee boxes do need work, but the rest of the course has been well maintained and the greens play nicely. They offer great variety of specials / deals.
