One of the smallest and oldest Division I BCS level stadiums. All seats are bleachers, if you have a bad back I definitely encourage you to "rent" one of the temporary seat backs ($5 or $10) for additional support and comfort... The home fans we spoke with were very kind and courteous. My only negative issues are... 1) arrive early, and be prepared to park in the residential areas surrounding the stadium, or take the Metra line or other public transit. And 2) I wish I had brought a pair of earplugs, as the main public address speaker (to the left of the main scoreboard) was the loudest I have ever heard, and if I had been seated any closer to it I would have needed put additional distance between it and my ears...

Great history everywhere here. The towers and stands largely unchanged since 1926 when a University of Chicago vs Northwestern University game was the dedication game. As an alum, it is always fun to return to a place with no cash registers at concessions (love the math!), and upper deck ramp unchanged for nearly a century. Lots of concessions. Fun to walk around outside and in. Wildcat Alley is great and more so with kids for pizza and games. A free beer too...for adults. I do wish seats were chairs and not benches and that was an alumni club and more upgraded seat options. Parking is expensive or iffy. Go Cats!

As an alum of a "large" Big Ten school, I am always somewhat blown away by attending a football game at Ryan Field. It offers a very up close and intimate experience of going to a football game, but they really need to step up the game in terms of video replay and audio. There is one tiny screen on one side of the stadium and a sound system that sounds fresh out of a high school homecoming football game. There is definitely some charm and character about attending a game at Ryan Field, but the actual game watching experience is at the bottom of the Big Ten.

Going to Ryan Field, 1501 Central St, Evanston, IL 60201 to attend a Northwestern Football game is a lot of fun. All in your group will love it Im sure. The only difficult part is parking near the field. Youll have to shuttle over most likely from the main campus area in one of the remote lots. I look forward to my next game here!

We love attending events here. Very well maintained, very homey and easily accessible. The patrons are always well behaved and our children are thrilled to be here every time. Parking is also great compared to major college stadiums and its very apparent that NW is very proud of the Ryan Field. We will be back again and again.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They know you are here to have a good time. The restrooms facilities are clean and the wait time to use them are minimal to none. Every seat in the stands is pretty uncomfortable, but I guess thats what makes it more encouraging to stand during the game! Go Cats!

Great atmosphere! Chicken strips were great. The parking in the area is EXTREMELY limited. Your best bet is public transportation, or park in a campus lot and take a shuttle. I was lucky enough to find parking within a ten minute walk. If you have a permit you can park near the stadium lots.

Home of the Wildcats. Clean facilities, large number of concession stands help reduce lines. Many stands run by student groups, help support them by eating at your favorites! Cold benches encourage continuous standing on your feet, the better to cheer on your Cats!

Great place to see Northwestern Wildcat football. Plenty of fairly close free street parking (if you arrive 90+ minutes before game). NU students who staff event are typically very friendly and helpful. Wildcat Alley (before game) is a blast!

I was in the vicinity so decided to make a pit stop the day of the Cubs WS parade and a day before the Wisconsin Badger win. Nice stadium but not as impressed as I hope to be. Regardless a good rival and a well respected college. #GoBadgers

Northwesterns amazing stadium is actually Dyche Stadium, but a donor made money and ended up getting the name changed. Easy to get to even the highest seats. and tickets are super easy to come by . Wear purple! Go Cats.

A way to loud cat growl every 30 seconds for a period of hours. It was completely unnecessary. I dont even think diehard Northwestern fans want to hear it that much.

While you are closer to the action, seating, especially for students, prevents you from seeing the scoreboard or hearing the PA. Feels small on the inside.

Really cool field. Good location to watch a ball game. Only complaint is it is relatively small at some point when walking within the stadium.

Nice venue for college football. Parking can be hard to find, you may have to walk quite a way. There are nice places to eat close.

Trash. Lines are too long for everything. The stairwells are too narrow. Seats are too close together. Absolute garbage.

Fun place to watch a football game. The seats could be a little bit closer to the field, but still fun nonetheless!

The Stadium is very small compared to the others and the seating is somewhat cramped. The atmosphere is amazing.
