PUBLIC PARK - ALL ARE WELCOME !!! This park is open to everyone and has a nice free parking lot, several picnic tables, benches, and restrooms. They do have a few grills for use but they look worn out so bring foil and cleaning supplies to use them. There is a large playground for children and a nice open grass field for playing. There is a very small walking trail to circle down by the river and back to the soccer fields which is good for a stroll about the park. The swim area is clean. The river is very rocky so bring shoes to walk in the river and safety vest as there are no lifeguards on duty. The river can run fast so use caution and swim at your own risk.

Warning: On a nice weekend day the park will be absolutely packed and parking will be a problem. The playground is great for a decent age range. There could be more shade over the playground though (bring sunscreen for the kids!!!). The fields are nice and open for kids to run off some energy and there still be room for multiple other groups to kick a ball or throw a frisbee. There is great access to the river for foot traffic. There are also a large number of park grills and picnic tables (both shaded and not) spread out around the park. Weve taken our 2yro to play at the park quite often and always had a great time.

@gary joyner - Not sure why they mean-mug you. My experience is that the park is filled with big families - mostly immigrant (mexican, indian, southeast asian). They are usually in their own family bubble, but ready to exchange friendly greetings and jokes. Uppity? Snobs? Hardly! And the park itself is gorgeous. Rocky violent water and cool quiet pools.

Its not as large as other parks in the area. They also dont gave a true separation of the younger and older kids play areas. They all are in the same circle. Unfortunately, there is no gate so your kids can run out if you look away for too long. It is nice that you can walk down and put your feet in the river.

Nice scenery, The river is cool. However, the people that inhabit the park are snobs. Straight up ,if you are new to the area they will mean mug you. they have nasy attitudes all day. I had to leave. Its not good place for me to ride my bike either. Forget this park, Ill leave this park to the uppity people.

Right on the chattahoochee river you can experience the rushing cold waters run up your shorts. Tube down the river, swim if you can, drawing through the rocks and enjoy the smell of everyones bbq. Visit and youll be amazed by the diversity this river attracts, feels like Captain Planet is smiling down on us.

This is a beautiful park, very peaceful on the weekdays and filled with families having fun together on the weekends. Ive never experienced any "uppity" people there either, but not sure how that would relate to the customer service category. I go whenever I need to clear my head.

The playground is fully-equipped and the field is big enough for any kind of fun. The field is not perfectly maintained however and is dangerous to walk on barefoot. The Chattahoochee River runs adjacent to the park and the park offers places to access the River.

Great park with two different sized play structures and access to the Chattahoochee River. It gets very crowded on nice weekends and its hard to find a parking space, but great otherwise.

Great park to hang out for a few hours or a day. The water is very cold but on a hot day its welcomed. Bring water shoes if you plan to get in the water, there are rocks everywhere

The park is small but has alot to offer. Theres access to the river, soccer fields, places to gather and eat. The playground is under construction but otherwise its very nice

Really beautiful. Playground is currently being renovated and is not accessible (May 2017). Access to some gentle rapids on the Chattahoochee which are fun to play in!

Free. Very good access to the river for wading and fly fishing. Also a nice field for Frisbee, an excellent jungle gym for the kids and several soccer fields.

Gorgeous park! I brought my dog with me, and he and I had fun wading in the river and jogging on the trail. Very clean.
