What a disappointment. There are so many other unique places to eat in and around Peachtree City that visiting the Georgia Shrimp Company is a waste of your time and money. Tonight we visited the Georgia Shrimp Company as we have for many years, to celebrate our new addition to the family. To start off our un-romantic evening we asked about bottled water and the Waiter suggested sparkling wine or club soda. We were thinking, are you on something? Our Server, Peter or Paul, took our drink orders, the beer with no glass came via someone else, the 2 waters a couple minutes later. We sat outside and was moved 3 times because we sat next to the "emergency" exit. I am serious, I am eating dinner and having to physically get out of my seat because the server, hostess and manager all allowed other guest to exit through the outside emergency exit gate. Whatever happened to sitting down to a nice meal. Our app which was the avacado shrimp was terribly bland. Oh and then Peter or Paul, the waiter, decided to show us the specials after we had ordered. Thanks! Soup, salad and the special dinner took about 40 minutes to come out, The special we had was the haddock and scallops; they were over cooked. The manager came by and asked how was everything, we said OK, expecting him to follow up and ask why things werent excellent. He turned and walked away. At this time, we realized that nobody cared anymore and we asked for our check. What a disappointment. I suggested a few friends and I have dinner there on Sunday night after it was suggested to me as a lunch spot. I have to say that I was impressed. My friends and I enjoyed the live music of the Toni Byrd Quartet and the food was excellent. We started with the vegetable stack as a shared appetizer. The dish was seasoned properly and the veggies were not overcooked. The pesto added enough flavor without overpowering the true roasted flavor of the vegetables. Although the bread was brought to the table, I did not try it. However my friends seemed to enjoy it. I ordered the whole fried snapper as my entree, which was a special that night. It was great! So much so that didnt even eat the vegetables that came with it. The fish was a large specimen and very flesshy and not overcooked or dry. It was lightly seasoned and floured, fried and stuffed with garlic. This dish was well worth the price as a special item. I will definitely spread the word and return again.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. Got there 20 mins before our reservation time. The guy who checked us in was using a clip board and a piece of paper checking in customers w/reservations. After finally being seated it took an hour and 10 minutes before we got our food, the party behind us complained as well it took them an hour and 20 minutes before they got theirs. The fish and shrimp had no seasoning, they only have 2 bath rooms which are "UNISEX" bathrooms. Only thing the manager wanted to offer for our long wait was an "Im sorry, we got a rush of people in and I can offer you a free dessert and was only willing to take a dollar off the price. Personally the food wasnt all that hot due to the lack of seasoning, lack of cooks in the kitchen, lack of care from management and the lack of customer service. My Suggestion is Copelands, Papadeuxs or cook at home before going here

Came to Georgia Shrimp Co. on Valentines Day and it was amazing. We sat right in front of the stage and thoroughly enjoyed the light jazz being played. My husband surprised the whole restaurant when he got up and asked me to dance to Etta James "At Last." Our food was terrific as well. We had a bottle of the Napa Valley Chardonnay that was paired perfect with our sampler appetizer (the mussels were divine) & the Corvina/salmon special and Grits Antonio. We followed our entrees with Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecake paired with Chateau St Michelle Riesling and Molten Chocolate Cake served with a crisp South African wine (I forget the name but I was 4 glasses in at this point). It really was an incredible night and we owe it all to you and your staff. Thank you so much for the best Valentines Day ever.

Very Disappointed after all the good reviews we read. I will say the service was adequate, but terribly disappointed in the food. We began with calamari $9.95 no seasoning tough and chewy. I had the Sizzling Seafood Skillet $27.95 with Lemon Rice. The dish was served with 1 Giant Prawn, a few fried oysters, 3 mussels marinara and a mound of calamari, and a side of lemon rice. The seafood other than the mussels was underseasoned and the calamari tough and chewy. The lemon rice had no lemon flavor it was bland. My wife had the Big City Spicy Pasta $19.95 and said it was just okay. Overall service was fine, but food was not good. Maybe it was not a good night, but for the prices you dont get to have a bad night. Next time I will go elsewhere for seafood.

The shrimp tacos are FABULOUS - the sauce they put on them is so tasty - and they serve it with lemon rice (different and good). I have craved it ever since. The Clam Chowder was also AWESOME. Portions are large, the soup alone was enough for a meal. Service was good. Restaraunt feels a little small, but it is nice and it does a great business. Will definitely go back again and again. Ordered for take out too - the food was just as good. Prices are in line with other area eateries. We enjoyed a glass of wine, calamari appetizer (just okay), husband got soup, I ordered a side salad with our meal and the total bill was still only around $60 for both of us. Shrimp tacos are relatively inexpensive.

First visit, but definitely wont be the last! Ambiance was real nice...elegant look with fish tank. Plus, the live music was jammin all night! Most importantly, the food was great! I had the Arabian Lamb Shank. Its a HUGE portion with a great sweet and Indian-savory flavor. Being from the South, I usually cautious about peoples grits, especially if theyre paired with a non-traditional meat. But it all worked. My wife had a lobster dish that was topped with shrimp and a side salad. She loved her meal and her martini. I finished with the Cape Brandy Pudding. One of the best desserts Ive EVER had! Its so light, but very sweet and a unique flavor. Overall, an awesome experience and great date night!

Service was poor. Main arrived before starter was finished and unceremoniously dumped on the table. Accompanying side salad to main never even served. Food itself was mediocre at best. Clam chowder to start was the highlight, good flavours though not served piping hot. Shrimp and oyster combo main was poor. Fried oysters resembled popcorn chicken and tasted extremely bland. Much worse than any cooked oyster I have ever eaten previously, presumably because it was a processed food cooked from frozen. Wifes main of fish, shrimp and scallop on a bed of pasta was also underwhelming. The textures of the fish and scallop were rubbery - we think this dish had been microwaved. Not recommended.
