This venue is absolutely gorgeous! We got so many compliments from guests saying how beautiful it was. Michelle was so great to work with. So sweet and very accommodating. She had answers for every question and loved helping with the specifics of where the best place everything will go. Most places only allow 8 hours for you of allotted time (including setting up and breaking down) but the Engine room gives you 12 (a HUGE bonus). And if you dont use the 2 hours of rehearsal time, they will add it to your time the day of. The Engine Rooms bridal suite is immaculate and makes for great pictures. It includes a shower with amenities, and cute vintage furniture. They even have a Grooms suite with a huge flat screen TV and XBox with games. My husband loved that. The inside of the venue has gorgeous walnut floors, a big catering kitchen. I believe it can host up to 300 or 400 people. The light comes through the windows at the best time- not blinding people and giving off the best glow. They have plenty of tables and chivalri (not sure if I spelled that correctly) chairs. They also have some gorgeous farm tables! The cherry on top of this amazing sunday is the patio. Exposed brick made for some amazing pictures. We had a cigar bar outside made stunning by the cafe lighting. It was magical. The ONLY down side to this venue is it is in a small town with very little hotel options. There are 2 Bed and Breakfasts with 8 rooms between the two of them. The closest hotels are about 25 minutes away. I heard they are in talks of building a few rooms attached to the venue, but it wont be completed for some time. BUT, the beauty of the venue did save us a lot of money on decorations and flowers. Money that could be spent on a shuttle service to the guests. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. My wedding was magical and I have them to thank! Michelle and the Engine Room are amazing!

The venue is beautiful. If I were rating on that alone this place would get 5 stars. However, the staff is the worst. The girl in charge (Michelle) she is supposedly available for you to e-mail or call with questions, well she never got back to us in a timely fashion. It would typically take between a 1.5 to 2 weeks to hear back from her. It became a running joke in our family when anyone brought up needing to ask Michelle a question that you could try but you would forget your question before you got a call back. Day of my sisters wedding the drapes (main decor for ceremony) were scheduled to get there at 10am. They did not arrive until almost 1. There was no one there day of the wedding to help or answer questions. We did not see a staff member until the reception when they were making themselves a plate of food. I wondered where a staff member was when my dad (father of the bride) was moving tables around with a dolly and carrying ladders to be put away that were left out by the people who brought the drapes. We were going to let all of these things go and chalk it up to an out of town wedding being stressful. But then after the wedding is over and everything is almost packed up Michelles assistant approaches my dad (who is taking his first restful moment of the day) and tell him that he owes $175 in cash for the security guard (the we didnt know was there and were told wouldnt be necessary because there was no alcohol being served). So my parents have to scrounge for change to complete the amount necessary to pay the cop. The saddest part is that Michelle would NOT talk to my dad about this. She made her assistant take the fall. Michelle is pulling this place down.

Our wedding was amazing! The venue space was beautifully decorated and working with Daffodils Design Studio was wonderful! We were rushing to put together a wedding in just a few months and Ms. Kim McKinny handled everything! The space is absolutely gorgeous with exposed brick and floor to ceiling windows and has the most amazing light in the evenings! Our wedding was September 5th and everyone had a BLAST!! After just our first visit with Kim, we had a clear understanding of exactly what we needed to do and the time frame we had for each task! She has years and years of experience and was able to guide us to the right vendors for our wedding. Kim was able to take the vision we had for our wedding and make everything happen! I made a last minute switch to our entire flower scheme and she was able to accommodate with ease and made our ceremony flowers and reception space look really great!! We are so thankful we found Daffodils and The Engine Room and would highly recommend them!!!

My wedding this past Sunday, September 13th, was nothing short of prefect!!! Everything I imagined, was created into reality by Kim McKinney from Daffodils Design Studio. She created a one of a kind elegant and glamorous event, which will forever be implemented into our memories. Michelle really helped with keeping the event running smoothly. Any hiccups came and went, unbeknownst to our guests. Because of their superior service and talents, my husband and I have been the talk of the town! My wife and I got married here and it did not disappoint. Great staff, accommodating and helpful. Beautiful venue, air conditioned, which made the June day feel like spring. The grooms suite is a nice touch as well. Great dance floor area, decorations werent over the top, the building itself is a great place to be. Our guests didnt want to leave and neither did we!
