Hands down one of my favorite venues to go see a concert. My first show was roughly 7/8 yrs ago, and my only regret was I didnt find out about this place sooner, as ive always lived about an hr or so away :( Its refreshing to see national acts play in a small intimate environment versus larger clubs or arenas. The vibe & energy that comes thru when performers are literally inches in front of you is second to none. If you ever get a chance to go backstage and see their "wall of fame" your jaw will drop at who has passed thru and performed. Ive been to shows by myself, with my wife, & all sorts of friends etc. and have never had an issue, outside of the female bathroom being a big line at times...(fyi only 1 bathroom for each gender but what do you expect its a small venue!) For sold out shows get there early because you seriously have the opportunity to see your favorite artist breathing and sweating all over you without security up your ass like many other venues! Its well worth the trip and for rock fans like myself, fams and friends I can say the Machine Shop is where you wanna be! One last thing...my wife and I love their logo and clothing. We get nothing but compliments and thumbs up when we go to shows around Michigan wearing their gear, and its pretty cool for people outside the state to recognize the Shop as well!

Overall my experience with the Kane Brown Concert was amazing! I enjoyed the venue and the fact that inside the building the staff maintained an environment that was safe. My only complaint was at the end of the concert, preparing for the meet and greet, the staff told us to line up at the bottom of the steps, to which we did. They then decided they wanted us against the fence and literally shoved us against the fence only to let people they chose to come to the front. Is there a VIP ticket available I was not aware of? Yes I still got to meet him but I really did not appreciate being shoved by your staff members, nor did anyone else in my party or around me. I surely hope that will be the only poor experience I have with such a reputable concert venue as yours.

I would bet any amount to say this is THE BEST place in MI to see a show and have some drink and may even meet the band! You have high probability of catching items if you have the ambition! Very personal shows, Great drinks made strong; as well as shooters going around through the crowd. Staff are great and keep a safe show every time! You cant go wrong with the price of the shows either, lets be real here; 20-25 dollar shows Ive seen at thier top end of the spectrum all the way to 5 dollar shows (highly suspect headliner) always with multiple bands also! Can not say enough good things never have had a bad time or vibe! Will always rock out at the shop!!

AWFUL experience! I went to a concert with my boyfriend to see our favorite band when a man we didnt know came up and punched him in the back. We were escorted out, even though neither of us anything wrong, and they refused a refund. We were 3 hours away from home. When I called, I was told I had the "wrong number" and could hear laughing in the background. Every time I called, whoever spoke attempted to speak Spanish, or said wrong number. The workers are EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! I have never been back, and would not recommend it to anyone! They dont deserve your money! Not to mention, its been filthy each time Ive gone to a concert there.

Ask yourself 1 question before EVER venturing to this place! What would you expect to find in a machine shop? TOOLS!! This place was full of em! Dont get the wrong idea. I am only referring to the so called "staff" Ditched the hole after encountering the most unprofessional employees as well as the most untrustworthy, cowardly security team I have ever seen and I will leave it at that. Not trying to persuade people into not going there but for all those who do, BEWARE

Been there many times over the years. Great ambiance to see a show. The beer selection has grown to be pretty impressive, which is awesome. Ive read a few complaints about the sounds system, my only criticism is that the openers often sound good but the headliner just gets pushed too far over the top and it becomes distorted. Still a great, intimate place to see a band.

The Machine shop has been my home since the Zink brothers 1st started it. Their crew for waitstaff, sound and lights is always top notch. Ive been in the industry a long time and theres no place like home. Beyond proud of how well this venue has done. The machine shop never lets me down. xoxoxo House of Razorblades Shannon Razorblade

Went to see HED P.E on June 4th. Great venue with lots of room. Top shelf booze and beers. You get a good amount for the cash. Was not disappointed. The bands also talked about the owner Kevin and how great and accommodating he was to them. Glad to have stopped in Flint, MI and be apart of this culture!!

ICONIC! For the most part they employ a pretty awesome, down to earth, staff. They are a home to both local and international touring bands. I love that they house artists of all genres, always resulting in badass music and a good time. You CANNOT go wrong with a night at the famous Machine Shop.

The Machine Shop is one of the coolest looking venues Ive ever been to. They have murals painted on the walls. The tables look hand crafted. Theres a very large parking lot considering the size of the venue. They have a great craft beer menu including one brewed just for them.

Came here to see Black Stone Cherry which was great as expected. Dusty was who we stayed to chat with and he was absolutely wonderful. He served me earlier in the night and was great from the beginning. Literally came from for Black Stone Cherry and stayed for Dusty that night.

Went to a Shooter Jennings concert here and the sound check must have been off because we couldnt hear any lyrics over the speakers for the entire show. The opening bands were fantastic but the headliners show was a pretty big let down just because of the sound quality.

Very disorganized. Making people stand in the freezing cold for 2 hours is ridiculous. Everything ran very late and than there wasnt a chair or table to be seen. So for me this venue is a place I would never return. Concert was excellent except for the sound system.

I have been coming to the machine shop for hard core music for many years and I still enjoy it. I have seen and met many world class artists play here and hung out with band members without relizing it. If you want to have a great mosh this is the place.

Can be very loud, and hard to see if you are short because of the venue type, but other than that nothing else I can say bad about the place. Just bring your ear plugs and make sure to put on some shoes that have thick soles so you can see.
