I had the great fortune to randomly go to The Cottage Vineyard and Winery with my husband and parents yesterday. They are not winers like I am, so they sat down and had a glass of their choice while I did a tasting. (Im so lucky to have a family who understands and endulges me!) I had been to the winery shortly after they opened and it was nice, but still very new. Boy, have things changed! Owners, Jim and Sandra Penner were both behind the bar providing tastings and both emulated passion about what they were doing. I had the privilege to have Jim provide me with my tasting. He acted like he enjoyed giving the tasting as much as I enjoyed being on the receiving end! He didnt rush me, he answered all of my questions, shared so much information and all of the wines that I chose to taste were very well done. These are essentially new wines, yet they have the taste of wine that has been aged for awhile. I tasted two that had only been bottled three weeks ago and they were already fabulous. I cant wait to go back when theyre on the market because I cannot begin to imagine what they will be like after theyve aged a bit. I am definitely a new fan and will be back....many, many times in the future!

As a retired Army vet I had to make this my first stop as the owner is retired Air Force and has a monument dedicated to our military. The owners, Jim and Sandra, have done a wonderful job carving out their winery from the forested foothills near Cleveland. My wife and I enjoyed the family atmosphere during our wine tasting. We left as members of their wine club and almost a case of wine. I highly recommend them as your first stop on your wine tour of the area. The view from their property is fantastic.

We are always greeted like old friends when we arrive, and the wines are really fantastic. This is where we first tasted Joe Smiths wines, so do yourself a favor and make this the first stop on your wine tour. If youre lucky, you might get to try one of "Too Talls" sloppy joes, or some other delicious concoction. Check the website for events, we recently went to a wine and chocolate pairing in their cellar and it was a real treat, to say the least. Matthew & Gretchen Anthony Club Members (for life!)

.I had an awesome time with my friends last Sunday afternoon. Sandra the owner is a jewel of a person. She is so nice and friendly, the whole staff is friendly. The weather was stellar and the view is magnifique! The music and atmosphere inside was relaxing. I will be going back next month to enjoy the autumn leaves and other times when I just want to get away from the city and have a truly relaxing moment. Absolutely love it!

I wish I could give this place 6 Stars! What a wonderful place to spend a few hours on a lazy afternoon. We took part in a very knowledgeable wine tasting before picking a glass to take outside and and enjoy while taking in the absolutely stunning views. This was the absolute highlight of our weekend! If you are anywhere in North Georgia, go by The Cottage Vinyard. Youll talk about it for years to come!

The Cottage was one of the few wineries I chose to visit to celebrate my 21st birthday. Since I wasnt sure which kinds I would like, Nathan offered me a guided tasting. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me choose wines based on my preferences. I didnt end up buying any bottles of wine, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the tasting, and I would love to return in the future!

We absolutely love this Vineyard & Winery. Sandra, Jim and the staff are so incredibly pleasant and welcoming. The view is breathtaking and calming. They have a GREAT variety of wines to choose from. The property is gorgeous and the inside of the The wine tasting building was warm, friendly and bigger than I would have thought. We had a blast with too tall Nathan and Jim. Wine was pick 8 tastes for 10 dollars. Great choices to choose from. I highly recommend this as a fun stop on the trail.

Discovered this vineyard and winery through a friend and absolutely love coming up here. Buy a bottle of their syrah before they run out! Excellent service and the owners are very kind and humble. Beautiful view and wines to please everyone. Cannot wait to go back for another syrah!!!

Great little winery. Beautiful location and views. Owner Jim was very personable and friendly and made you feel welcomed. Loved the wines had the semi sweet to sweet, just my preference, but all five i tried i enjoyed. Looking forward to returning

Such an amazing experience here all around! I came with a group of 18 and we all had a wonderful time. It has breathtaking views, and the staff was amazing! They were so welcoming and knowledgeable about wines. Already planning a trip back!

A little piece of heaven right here. The views from the tasting room are absolutely amazing. There is also a veteran memorial on top of the hill, honoring service members from all branches of the military. Oh, and the wine is awesome.

Go in early November for spectacular foliage. 360 degree views and about the quietest place in all of N. Georgia. Great Syrah. Laid back atmosphere - we brought our dogs and let them run around off leash!

Cute little tasting room! If you like sweet wines, this is your spot! The service was friendly but the pours were very shallow. But, for a $10 tasting it was fair, I suppose. Pet friendly on the patio!

Beautiful views at a new winery... the vines are barely starting but the wines were a nice variety. Very excited to see what they will come up with once they start making from the on site grapes.
