Everyone was so helpful and nice! I have been at the "fancy shows" where everyone is treated like a king or queen but with this being a "discounted tickets " I wasnt expecting the same level of treatment, but I was SURPRISED!!! I would like to say that I am partially challenged physically (disabled, I just dont like the term) so I have walk with a cane. I was heading back to the concession stand to get a refill on popcorn and the nicest young man stopped me and asked me if he could help me. Asked if I was heading to the concession to get popcorn ? I told him yes, and he asked if he could get it for me? I dont like having to ask for assistance and I dont like not being able to do things. That particular day I was feeling bad so the fact that he offered was a real blessing. He went and stood in line for me while I waited (not cutting line as a employee of the fox) and when he returned the kind young man even offered to carry my popcorn back to my seat for me. I graciously declined the offer but sincerely thanked him for what he had already done and also told him how surprised I was and appreciative I was on how nice the entire staff had been during the experience. Unbeknownst to me at the time, this kind young man was the President of Fox Mr. Allan C. Vella. I didnt know this until the end of the show! I wanted to call this out not only for the fact that he ws so kind to help me, but also to show that it statys at the top! This explains to me why I was treated like royalty from the moment I approached the door. Im sure that Mr. Vella doesnt remember me as I was just one of hundreds of people that he saw that day, but you can rest assured that I remember him and what he showed and did that day for me!! I will not forget it. Thank you for a wonderful experience with my family at your beautiful Fox Theatre. It was a trip down memory lane for my father as he lived on a block from the Fox back in the 60s,70s and 80s and was a frequent "flyer" there enjoying the upstairs bar. Thank you again and may God bless you, your family and the wonderful Fox!!!!

The fabulous Fox theater is splendid historical landmark in Atlanta. It is crafted in several cultural styles, however Arabic motifs are most influential through the grand theater. Originally designed for live theatrical performances and movies, it now hosts a variety of cultural and artistic events including musical concerts from legendary artist to the hottest new acts. As you enter the over 4,000 seat theater you immediately notice the Moorish castle theme, with a realistic night sky above replete with virtual twinkling stars and wispy clouds difting across the heavens above. Even with almost 5,000 seats it is a well designed salon visually and acoustically with hardly a bad seat anywhere. The Fox features a pipe organ nicknamed the "Mighty Mo", which is a true theater organ, and is designed to imitate the sounds of a full orchestra as including, marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, and drums, as opposed to a church organ. Yet, even though it is far more impressive than a church organ, "Mighty Mo" also includes an "Ethereal" division of pipes to rival any church organ. Moreover, early featured attractions at the Fox were primarily slient films and so "Mighty Mos" capabilities are not just limited to bells (sleigh) and whistles (birds), but also contain a plethora of sound effects that would be the envy of any FX specialist. Even if you never attend an event at the Fox you can see this grand place and find out all of the amazing facts and more by taking a tour of the theater, it is well worth your time. Parking is scarce, challenging and expensive so take that into consideration during an event. Additionally, it is easier to board and disembark from ride-share vehicles on the side of the Fox on Ponce de Leon rather than in front of the Fox on busy Peachtree road.

This was our first experience at the Fox Theatre. My wife and I came to see Wicked, which was fantastic. First, this theare is beautiful on the inside. The dark decor and the theatre layout make for a very nice and interesting environment. I was very fascinated by the ornate details all around the theatre - from the main theatre hall to the bathrooms downstairs, there is plenty to catch your attention. My only and quite significant complaint about this venue is the seating, which for many people equates to staring at the back of a head for 3 hours. My wife and I are both quite tall - her 511 and me 62 - but, despite our height, we found ourselves craning and stretching to see the stage. This was unfortunate, because we had what seemed to be quite good seats - very close to the stage (Row R - left of theatre). We heard quite a deal of complaining from those sitting around us about not being able to see as well. At one point, we became so frustraited by the craning and stretching obscuring the stage in front of us, that we contemplated leaving or standing at the rear of the theatre. All in all, I would say that the Fox Theatre is a must see. There is plenty to look at while you are here and the historical relevance alone makes this a hot spot. With the praises aside, I would say that a seating overhaul would benefit the viewers experience dramatically - I feel safe in saying that it currently teeters on ruining some viewers experiences. I will likely be back in the future, though I think I will shoot a bit harder for a isle end in the front of the balcony. P.S. Wicked was fantastic.

My wife and attended the showing of Wicked, something my wife has wanted to see for a while now. It was a cold night and so the Theatre had the heat on. Once we sat down and the program started it begun to get extremely hot. It was nearing 90 degrees with several people fanning themselves with their programs and me sweating along with everyone else. I talked to an usher that told me they just sent someone to fix the temperature during intermission. The second act started and it continued to get hotter and I could feel the hot air blowing down. Several people around us didnt come back for the second act do to the heat. During the second act my wife and I became lethargic due to the heat and had a very difficult time focusing on the show. I called the Fox Theatre to voice my concerns about the less than satisfied experience and was told that I was the only one to have voiced a complaint and that they were contractually obligated from the actors to have the temperature that high. After stating this, the lady the had answered the phone at Fox Theatre said that there wasnt anything she could do to make up for the dissatisfied experience. Never would I have come close to paying over $200 to go to a sauna fully clothed. Would have to consider very carefully attending any other event at the Fox Theatre, especially with the customer service afterwards.
