When we first got there, the host was great. I wish he had been our waiter. Unfortunately, he wasnt. And the good news stops there. The music was horrendously loud. I had to shout to my girlfriend sitting less than a foot from me and she could still barely hear me. I understand its Hard Rock Cafe, but theres a point where the music is just too loud. It also felt like a cafeteria with everyone crowded into the middle of the room. We finally ordered our drinks and got them a short time later. After we got our drinks, the waitress seemed more interested in screaming across the restaurant to her friends and running around the restaurant playing with somebodys kid than taking our order. All of the servers were wandering around in pairs talking to each other, laughing, screaming, and messing around. I understand that its supposed to be laid back. But you need to be somewhat professional. We finally were able to place our order and had decided to share the duo combo fajitas with steak and chicken. When she asked what temperature for the steak, we told her medium. After waiting for around 30 minutes, we got the plate full of lettuce, pico de gallo, etc. About 10-15 minutes later, our fajitas came out. Apparently $20 for the duo combo gets you 8 tiny strips of meat. Also the steak came out hardly cooked at all. Nowhere close to medium. At this point we had been here over an hour and just wanted to go find someplace else to eat. We got the manager as he was walking through and told him our experience and said we would like to just go someplace else. After he tried to convince us to stay, he comped our drinks (a Pepsi and a sweet tea) and let us go. As we were walking out the door, the waitress comes running up to us asking "Is something wrong? You cant just leave." When I told her the meat was rare, not medium and the service was awful so we had talked to the manager, she started giving me attitude telling me "You cant just leave without paying or talking to a manager." When I again told her we had just talked to a manager and he had said not to worry about it, I also told her the name on the managers name tag. She then gave me even more attitude telling me there was no one there by that name. When we told her it was the man in the blue shirt, she finally walked away saying "Okay, whatever." I would not wish this place on my worst enemy. It is a horrible excuse for a restaurant.

Service in painfully slow and the mediocre food is incredibly overpriced. Arrived at this place at 10:25 PM and did not leave until 12:06 AM. The only positive to this visit was that we did not wait for a table. The negatives started quickly though with the first being the location of the table. Our table was right across from the entrance to the restrooms and right beside the entrance to the kitchen. The foot traffic through here was just too much. We waited for our server to show up for about 15 minutes and she arrived to get our drink order and we ordered potato skins. Two Cokes and a Mt Dew arrived 5 minutes later and my wifes beer arrived 15 minutes later. Thirty minutes later our potato skins arrive. Twenty-five minutes after our appetizer arrives our entree arrives which was one salad, two flat bread pizzas, and a ribeye steak with fries. The food had a good taste but we couldnt figure out why the plates were very hot and the food was warm at best. MICROWAVE MAYBE? When our food finally did arrive our server finally gets us drink refills and my wife ask for another beer. This was the first and only refill for all of us but my wife. Her beer never arrived and she ate her entire entree with nothing to drink. It also was not in the check so it was never even turned in. We sit and wait for about 10 minutes after we all finish our meal and our server comes to ask if we want dessert. We said no and that we were ready for our check. Five minutes later, our check arrives and then we watch our server carry on a conversation with the ladies beside us for 15 minutes before she comes to get our payment. Five minutes later she arrives with our card. And then for the first time she gets in a hurry to get back in less than a minute to collect the signed receipt. Needless to say I have made my last visit to this overpriced franchise. I had a similar experience with the Hard Rock at Universal Studios.

I finally took a step forward and attended my first Yelp event. I could not believe I didnt go to any events last year just because I was shy and didnt know anyone. Fooled me. I walked into the event and was greeted by a server with a tray full of Pomegranate Mules. Delicious nice and smooth. It was pretty early when I arrived but I was greeted by Jonathan. He pretty much knew who I was without looking at my name tag. In fact a few fellow reviewers knew who I was which was impressive. Along with everyone else I had no idea the Velvet Underground was a private room/venue for Hard Rock Cafe. It would be a cool spot to have an intimate party if you will. Great place for bridal showers, birthdays etc. There is music memorabilia all over this place. You could spend all day just looking around and being in awe. The lights were turned down nicely and there is also a full bar. The two bartenders were not stingy with the liquor either. The first drink I had was smooth. The second was banging!! Food for the night was a few stations positioned around the room. Taco Bar, Pasta Table, Veggie and Anti pasta table and of course the S mores Station. I had a little of each except the one closest to me the Anti Pasta. Seems like no one really touched it but only because I think everyone was full from the other stations. Randy Rock the host for the night reminded me of Kid Rock however he was so friendly and so knowledgeable of everything in that place. He was willing to talk to you about anything to do with Hard Rock. The staff was uber friendly. I was put at ease at the table because everyone was talking like we had known each other forever. I will be looking forward to making it out to another event. Jonathan and Daniel are amazing. Thank you for the invite.

It was my nieces 21st birthday and this is where she wanted to celebrate with the family and a few friends before she went out for the night. I do not know why she loves the Hard Rock, but she does. I need to help her get out more. Atlanta has so many great places to celebrate with GREAT food. This is not one of them! The good: They were able to accommodate our group of 22 people and service was ok considering the size of our group. For kids, they had a full on coloring book which I thought was cool and the kids meal came on a guitar plate which the kids loved. Thats about it. The bad: 1) If I order a coke, DO NOT BRING ME A PEPSI!!!!!!!!!! Tell me you dont have Coke! If I order fries and you dont have any would you bring me onion rings? NO! Because its not the same! I hate when people do this! I got them to switch it out with Dr. Pepper because Pepsi is just gross as hell and how are you going to serve Pepsi in Atlanta of all places????? 2) The food was meh. I had a burger and it was just ok. 3) It is REALLY expensive for some crappy food. A burger was $15.95 and was meh. Drinks were very expensive (i.e. a shot of Fireball for the birthday girl was $10 for a normal sized shot). 4) Its loud as hell! I couldnt hardly hear the people sitting right next to me. Overall, meh. Dont go here. Go eat anywhere else but here. The food is functional and nothing to write home about.
