I have been to Summerfield once to golf and countless times for meetings, Sunday brunch, lunch or to meet someone for a quick drink. First thing I want to mention is this is a family owned small business, something that is not very common with golf courses. I know nothing about golf but the one time I came to golf with some friends it started with a lesson that was excellent. The instructor asked me about all sports I had played and was able to show me how to swing and what to do based on what I knew about other sports. While golfing it was obvious to many that I was new at it and I stopped and let other golfers play through. Many of the experienced golfers stopped to politely give me some pointers and recognize my efforts. The kindness of the other golfers was what I truly loved about my day golfing. The Sunday brunch is excellent they offer eggs / omelettes made to your liking. They will use egg whites and non-stick spray instead of butter for the pan. They over many sides and fresh made waffles made while you wait.

The greens are in AMAZING shape and several were either tiered or had significant slope. The fairways were in pretty good shape but were rather dry which made some shots a little difficult. Tee boxes were mostly all tore up so sometimes it was difficult to find a decent spot to tee off. They have a marshall that constantly drives around, which I like because it usually keeps people moving, but this marshall didnt keep the pace going. I drove past three groups to get to a hole that was open and playable and then back tracked to the skipped holes. The prices are pretty high considering the length of the course and local averages but it was taken care of above average. This course is really hit or miss. If it has rained hard recently, stay away because it doesnt drain but if it hasnt rained in a long time also stay away. All in all a fun course.

This course on Nov.15,2015 was in pretty good shape and the greens were to my liking, cut close and on the fast side but easy to hold. Hole positions were fair and not set for tournament golf. From the Black Senior tees most of the fairways are open enough so you were rarely in trouble. If your drive is around 200 yds. you will be able to reach most greens in regulation. It was very windy when we played and still was not too bad distance wise. There is a lot of water but not always in play. 2:00 pm tee time was around $20.00 ea. Nice pro shop, friendly staff.We will definitely put this on our favorite course to play.

Tee times advertised on Golfnow as being available, show up and told nothing available due to leagues beginning their round. If there are leagues taking up all tee time slots, its understandable, just dont advertise (even through another party) that you have times available when in fact you dont. Poor supervision and poor management of a golf course when you allow people who hurry home from work to play, based on what your course is advertising, only to find out you dont keep your information/available times accurately.

Nice course. Great layout! Island green! Greens have improved dramatically in the last year, making some of the nicest greens around. HOWEVER, prices are going up pushing rates on the higher side and employees are getting more and more rude. I watched them turn away people to play the RANGE because of no collar... really!? Lower the rates, be a little more nice to players and you got the best course in the area!

First visit here. I played the black tees, written up as 5779 yards. That means that most holes are reachable in regulation for the average golfer. I found that to be true, leading to an enjoyable round of golf. I think the layout is pretty and interesting. Very good conditions, very nice staff. Although there was some back-up at times, our threesome played 18 in 3.5 hours. Nice - I want to go back -

Generally, reasonable pricing, decent fairways and tee boxes, nice course layout. the greens are hit and miss.. when they are good they are good but lately they have been not so good.. bumpy, rough, bare and brown spots and pretty hard.. forget any wedge shots sticking.. give it a few months and some water and the greens should play better.. Good course in the summer.. you cant got wrong.

If you have a Greyhound, this is a great track. Wasnt very well groomed for the price they asked (hello, this is no longer a country club guys). Old gray hair in the proshop could not be more rude, which set the tone for the day. No wonder there was nobody there. Overpriced, in poor shape, and they treat you like crap. I live 10 minutes away, but wont be back.

What a cow pasture! The rough was nothing but crab grass, the fareways were not irrigated so they were hard as a rock, and the greens were top coated with sand. The course lacked landscape and the bathrooms had rusted doors and were not at all clean.

Only been there a few times just for a couple of drinks with friends. The drinks, the service and the atmosphere were great. Dont know anything about the food as Ive never eaten there. Also, dont play golf so cant grade that.

God awful !!! Starter was very rude and pushy. Greens were garbage. Traps were mud. Pace of play was very slow. If there was an option for zero stars this was be a candidate. The free ice water was the only positive note.

The staff is always friendly here and I enjoy playing golf and footgolf on this course. The bartenders are also fast, friendly, and attentive. Now if I can reduce the amount of golf balls that get lost in the woods...

Their food is all fresh and delicious. The cook they have up there making the eggs, omelets, pancakes and waffles is the best! He makes everything to order and is very quick about it.

Fairways are good, greens ae e hit or miss. Not too awful for the price & its literally around the corner. SUNDAY MORNING BUFFET starts @ 10. YUM!!!!

Tee boxes not level, greens slow with burnt spots, and a lot of weeds. Not worst I have seen, liked layout, and pace of play was good overall.

Its a horrible course. There are trespassers who block the fairway and interfere with the tee. Shop manager condescending and rude.

Excellent course with reasonable green fees. Not your typical straight line Fl course... Dog legs and moderate elevation.
