Beautiful theater, super nice staff, but so so experience. I went there several weeks ago to watch Tomorrowland - the movie was great but I was disappointed that seats were small and the cup holders in the seats were not large enough for the small cups. I ended up finishing fast because I was afraid the cup would spill over (which it did, fortunately after it was empty.) Got tickets on the app today for the IMAX 3D version of Jurassic World hoping the IMAX auditorium would be nicer; the app said it was at noon but it turned out to be at 10AM. A manager met me near the usher and told me they knew about the problem and were fixing the app now (a little late when the movie started almost 2 hours ago.) He told me to go to the ticket window and he would be there in a minute to change my ticket to the next show (1 PM). I went and the cashier could not change the time although she offered to let me but a new ticket. I said not to worry because the manager said hed be there in a minute. Five minutes went by and he didnt show up, the cashier said he was meeting with the regional manager over the time issue. Meanwhile, the seats I picked for the (supposed) noon show are long gone for the 1 PM show, and the remaining decent seats are rapidly being taken by people coming up for the 1 PM, while the manager is talking to his boss about the problem instead of helping the customer (me) standing at the ticket window who was affected by it. I didnt ask for or receive any compensation; however I paid $1.25 extra to book on the app so I could avoid the ticket window and get decent seats - I would have appreciated at least having that refunded that without my asking since I didnt get the seat I booked and I did end up waiting at the ticket window. As to the IMAX auditorium itself, great screen and sound obviously, but the same tiny seats as the other auditorium. The guest sitting next to me said they had seen another film in that auditorium and that the seats closer to the front were bigger, I might try that the next time. Overall worth going to for the convenience factor, and because IMAX screens, and movie theaters in general, are pretty thin on the ground around here; Ill be going again but Im not sure if I would if it wasnt right around the corner from my house. Hopefully Ill be able to give them another star or two after my next visit. One nice thing is they put the butter on the popcorn instead of making you use one of those little butter dispensers. I get a small popcorn, but if I ever go with my family Ill have to see what their buttering technique is for a large popcorn. I hate those little butter dispensers because my family managed a movie theater back in Delaware and I know the proper way to butter a large popcorn is to fill the bag half full, put some butter in, then fill it the rest of the way and put on some more. You cant do that with a self-service dispenser, so them not having a dispenser is a good sign. If I see them butter a large popcorn properly I will definitely add a star just for that.

Came tonight to watch Pitch Perfect 2 with the girlfriend. Had a mail-in rebate with me that has pretty simple instructions on it on how to use it. To understand, I have used these tickets in the past at Downtown Disney and they just glanced down, took a second or two, and handed me a ticket. The staff at Cinepolis had to call a manager over who wasnt even sure how to handle the ticket - even though it said clearly on the ticket to enter it manually - and spent five minutes debating how to get me tickets before just comping me some and sending me on my way. Then we get to the concession stand to get popcorn and a drink and learn they do not do free refills on large options. While I think movies are a ripoff in the first place in America, I have NEVER written a bad review for a movie theater on this. It is one of those accepted burdens in life, a first world problem we all live with. Their prices are about even with anyone else as far as concessions go, but the lack of a refill was a huge turnoff. I will add that with a solid six or seven people behind the counter blundering around like chickens with their head cut off, there was only one register open to help the building line of people. So we pay for our wonderful popcorn and go sit down in the movie theater to discover our large drinks do not actually fit in the cup holders. Somebody who came with us to the movie actually ended up knocking theirs over. We went back and thankfully got a refill to which they told us they merely ran out of the usual cups and would be rid of this problem soon enough. We know this not to be true as, when we thought about it, we remembered someone else telling us they had this same issue opening weekend at the movie theater. This was absolutely unacceptable. The movie itself was fine. The seats were alright. The bathrooms were nice and the whole place smelled nice. However, a company that touts itself on creating a high class experience for movie goers should probably have their [expletive] together before they open the movie theater, much less over a month after opening the doors. I was disappointed with this movie visit and would much rather drive the extra fifteen minutes and deal with our favorite traffic to go watch a movie at Downtown Disney where they know what they are doing and at least take care of their customers. Your management team would do well to watch a classic customer service video by Bob Farrell titled, "Give em the Pickle." The only reason I did not give one star was because, in all honesty, the place was vary aesthetically pleasing.

THE BLACK MANAGER THAT WAS ON DUTY WOULD NOT AND DID NOT PROVIDE HIS NAME NOR A BUSINESS CARD AFTER ASKING ME. TO LEAVE HIS MOVIE THEATER. HE ALSO KEPT MY RECEIPTS FOR THE MOVIE TICKETS WHICH I PAID BY CREDIT CARD. HE ALSO KEPT MY FOOD RECEIPT WHICH I PAID CASH AND DID NOT RECEIVE MY FOOD. ITEMS... THE REASON I WAS ASK TO LEAVE IS BECAUSE I WOULD NOT EXCEPT THE COLD PIPCORNS THAT WAS SEATING ON THE COUNTER PRE MADE BEFORE THE LAST MOVIE WHICH WAS STARTING AT 11:50 P.M..THE STAFF WAS CLEANING UP THE FOOD AREA BEFORE THE START OF THIS MOVIE. THE MANAGER DID NOT ALLOW ME TO GO TO THE MOVIE AREA, DIRECTING ME OUTSIDE AND RUDELY THREATING TO CALL THE SHERIFF FOR HARASSMENT WHEN I WAS THE ONE HARASSED AND ABUSED. I CALLED THE POLK COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE AND REQUESTED FOR AN PEACE OFFICER. AFTER TALKING TO THE SHERIFF OFFICER I WAS ABLE TO GET ONLY THE RECEIPT FOR WHICH I PAID FOR THE MOVIE TICKETS. MY NEXT STEP IS TO CONTACT CORP. FOR RESULTS AND REFUNDS. IF NECESSARY I WILL FILE A LAWSUIT FOR MY LOST AND DAMAGES. THIS IS MY VERY FIRST VISIT HERE AT THE CINEPOLIS IMAX IN DAVENPORT FLORIDA AND THE LAST VISIT. I RATE THIS A ZERO.. FF+ FOR THIS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL YOUNG BLACK MANAGER ON (6/24/2017). MORE TO COME CHAPTER 2.
