I had purchased a Groupon for two and attempted to use it today at this attraction. My boyfriend and I walked into the lobby and, since no one was at the desk, we patiently waited for one or two minutes until a man came over to greet us. We were polite, smiling and genuinely excited. He immediately had a rude attitude, which became rather intimidating once I stated that I was there to use my Groupon. I handed him my iPhone and he immediately gave it back to me and, in a condescending tone, told me that he needed me to print the actual ticket and there was no way it would work without the ticket. I stated that Ive used Groupon numerous times and he can just access the numerical code from my app coupon. He had a very unfriendly and condescending attitude about the whole thing. He then told me the coupon was only for one person and I said it was definitely for two. He reluctantly attempted to run it through and then found that I was in fact correct. I sincerely felt that he was rudely attacking me and acting as if my Groupon was an inconvenience to him and that I was trying to rip him off. I couldnt take his attitude anymore so I told him that he shouldnt be so rude. He proceeded to tell me that he wasnt at all being rude. Then, as he got my tickets, he went on and on about how he cant even believe they accept Groupons via phone apps because its such an inconvenience. I then told him that if he has a problem with it he should take it up with them and not with the customer. He said, "I am NOT being rude to you. If YOU think I am, that is YOUR prerogative. I said, "No, you were definitely being rude to us. You need to learn etiquette." And he said, "Hey, I let you in, didnt I? I can just take back the tickets and give you a refund." And then he rudely extended his arm and started to reach back for the tickets. I said, "No, Im going into the exhibit." And he then said, "NO, YOU will go in FIVE MINUTES." I got so shaken up and upset that I threw my tickets and walked out. My boyfriend then went in to ask for a refund and apparently all the guy did was have attitude with him. My boyfriend remained calm and then ended up started to stick up for us. The guy continued to be rude. My boyfriend asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. (Our receipt says the cashier name was "joez" but this man wasnt wearing a name tag, so Im not sure that was him. He was a tall man of about 60, wearing a white shirt, had gray hair...) He told him there was nothing he could do except write down our Groupon number for us. I ended up crying because he was so mean to me. And then we just went home because he had shaken us up and our entire afternoon was then ruined. I am not happy and I hope that he does not treat others that way. If so, I doubt people will put up with it. I am super polite to everyone. Before my career in the ad industry, I worked in service industry jobs and I have always treated service industry people in a nice way. But I was not about to let this guy talk to me like I was some bum. I am very upset. I am putting this story on online review sites so that no one else has to feel as belittled as I did. I cannot believe a manager (if he indeed is one) would talk to a customer that way. I think he judged me because I have tattoos, or perhaps because I was paying with a Groupon. He just immediately started being rude.

Well I dont really know what the actual attraction is like because the so called "manager" was so mean to us, he made a big deal from the beginning just because we used groupon stating that it had to be printed and simply refusing us. We showed him our phone app and he rolled his eyes and in his quiet condescending little voice he started out by claiming it had to be printed, we were wrong etc and to come back later. Without even looking at anything! His facial gestures and his tone and attitude toward us was completely out of line, everything we said he disagreed with and then kept huffing and puffing. We kept calm and just showed him he was wrong groupons can be used on the iphone app without printing them!! He decided to then tell us that he hated that they even accept groupon and made it seem like we were a problem! WE PAID FOR THESE!! He became so rude we simply asked why he was speaking to us like this and well in his opinion he did nothing wrong etc, and he replied "If you think Im being rude thats your prerogative." SERIOUSLY REALLY WTF?! Ok, so once I had enough I politely asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. Obviously I knew that one was coming, Anyways this is the behavior I would expect at a McDonalds... He made my girlfriend leave in tears and I had to deal with him getting our groupon codes back which became another problem, as he did this he decided to belittle my girlfriend saying she threw a fit and needs some help... At this point this fellow was blowing my mind, I choose to say nothing but I really wanted to spit in this guys face. Its a shame we were really excited to see this place and were having such a great day. Now looking at other reviews its rather funny to see the same things said about thisplaces customer service. If you are 80 years old, crusty, and near death and a total jerk to other people and get off on talking down to others this place is for you! If not please dont go here it ruined our day. Its a shame this building cant hit an iceberg and sink... Hope this helps,
JO

Suggest saving your money for a traveling exhibit. this place is a tourist trap through and through. if my wife hasnt gotten the tickets on discount through Groupon I would be rating 1 star. First...I love the Titanic stories and history so I was super excited for the tour because they touted over 200 artifacts (on the Groupon). We get there, check in and get our audio tour. The lady at the front desk then gives us the schpeal about the tour and mentions that anything with a black placard is an authentic artifact while anything with a white tag is a replica or other piece from the time period but not from the ship. This should have been the first sign. There are probably a total of 10-15 rooms each with about 3-4 exhibits (but with many pictures to fill empty space). Out of the exhibits, about 1 in 5 pieces are "authentic" (black tag). The coolest part is this museum is the "iceburg" they have which is an actual chunk of ice you can feel (well cool for true Floridians). Long story short, Ive been to MUCH better Titanic exhibits and if you want to spend $20 (per person) to look at pictures and a bunch of items from the 20s (but not authentic to the Titanic) then this is the place for you!!! Otherwise, I recommend saving your money. PS... if you want pictures take extra $$ as they have multiple photography opportunities but dont allow photography (obviously so you will pay them so you can get pics taken by their photographer).
