This is the best indoor roller coaster Ive ever been on. The intensity level ranks up near Space Mountain, but the resemblance ends there. Going through the queue, a Mummy movie set morphs into a very real seeming Egyptian catacomb. There are many interactive elements that you can use to scare unsuspecting guests that are stuck in the earlier parts of the queue. Once you make it to the loading platform, youll board a clunky jeep thats in the same style of the Dinosaur Time Machine and your trip begins. Im not going to spoil the ride, but there is a lot of fire and a great start to the roller coaster part of the ride. The ending is amazing, people who have ridden this will know what Im talking about. This ride rivals Rip Ride Rockit for the title of the best ride in the park in my opinion, and even though the ride isnt terribly intense, the theming is great. Lines are long, but the Jeeps carry a lot of people and the dispatch interval rivals Rip Ride Rockit for speed. Finally, look at the employees when they give their "area clear" signal, specifically, their thumbs. This is a ride that I would recommend to anyone who wasnt afraid of dark areas, loud roaring, Mummies, and sharp turns (no inversions on this ride). Edit: I rode the one at Universal Orlando. Im not sure about how the one in California compares to it, but hopefully I can ride it soon.

Im a hypochondriac afraid of everything so my family who went on it first fooled me by telling me this ride was gentle and to go on again with them....imagine my shock when were going down a who knows how steep decline underground in the dark to enter a chamber with flames, then going backwards down an unknown decline in pitch black...I went on it 5 times after that...I LOVE THIS RIDE!! It did snap my neck a little at the start when it pulls you backwards because I didnt know what to expect since I was lied to by my family but Im glad they did because it is seriously the best rollercoaster Ive ever been on. Dont ever remove it.

Best Rollercoaster at Universal Hollywood! I was afraid of mummies until riding this. I thought I was going to close my eyes, but I didnt. Beware, mummies come out even when you dont expect it. After one part, you are hurdled off into complete darkness. There are really cool mummy pictures, and the car accelerates quickly. Then, you do it backwards. Then you are pretty much done. If get scared easily by mummies or rollercoasters, dont ride, or if mild strobe lights bother you, but otherwise at least try this wonderful ride. You wont regret it.

THIS RIDE IS INCREDIBLE. its super smooth, and has backwards drop, launch, slow start with cool effects like fire, animations, and screens. You get really good air time after the first launch up and you dont know where youre going. Im always laughing while im on it and the fog, mist, speakers, and just basically everything about it is an amazing, and its a great coaster for first timers. i rode it when i was 7 and loved it. it was my first roller coaster. i give it 5 stars and i give 2 1/2 stars to the one in california. its not good at all

The Mummy is a very entertaining ride! The queue was even great! My husband and I were not disappointed! You feel like you are in the movie with all of the visuals, character voices and special effects! I loved the backwards drop and up hill launch, definitely experiencing a lot of Gs. For me, this is the best rollercoaster at Universal full of many super fun surprises! The Mummy also rides so smooth! I wanted to ride it again, but because of timing with the kids, we were not able to. It is definitely a very memorable and fun experience!

The roller coaster part of this ride is outstanding! Its a great backwards part, and an awesome launch! I dont like the dark ride part of this ride because Im a little scared of fire on rides. There is A LOT OF FIRE! It is very smooth and great theming. Good transitions between the backwards part and the launch, not rough at all! The restraints are a uncomfortable though. Still a great ride! My mom loves this ride and so do I! One of the best rides at Universal Studios in my opinion!

Probably the best ride here in Universal. The lines are usually VERY short here and you can often ride this back to back at least 3 times in just under an hour. It is an indoor roller coaster meaning its dark and you cant see ahead of you, making it even better. However, the ride is clearly outdated and is in need of a slight renovation but seeing as theyre making a new Mummy movie with Tom Cruise, itll probably come pretty soon. Regardless, ride this if you can.

Universal has been replacing their old rides one at a time and I hope they never close this one. I had a Florida resident pass and every visit no matter what, I ride this ride. It is awesome! Its part theme adventure ride and part roller coaster. Even the line sets the mood for the ride and has spooky hidden things to have fun as you wait. A lot of thought was put into this ride and it shows. (There is something in the line you control to scare other people. )

Sadly the ride girl was clueless when I asked her questions about going inverted or getting negative G force as I have a brain aneurysm. Trust me there was lots of negative G force in the dark. The special effects including the fire rolling across the ceiling were breath taking. It was quite a violent ride in the dark with tight abrupt turns and very quick bouts of acceleration. An enjoyable ride overall and worth the biblical levels of head pains just after.

Voted the best indoor coaster for a reason! Between the animatronics and show elements that this coaster/dark ride has, it makes for an intense, super fun experience. Worth the wait, and has a single rider line if you dont mind splitting up your party. Be sure you put all your belongings and loose items (bags, hats, sunglasses) in the free lockers outside, otherwise they wont let you ride.

Kongfrontation will always be better than Revenge of the Mummy but that doesnt make this a bad ride. This is a must ride every visit! As long as they dont change anything from the new terrible remake I will continue to ride. When they change it to make it like the new movie I will be done riding. You cant take something good and try to re-do it. DONT FIX IT IF IT ISNT BROKEN!

My mom absolutely loves this roller coaster, and I really enjoyed it too. I think this is one of the older coasters in the resort because I remember it being here even when I was four. But age looks well on this coaster. I dont want to spoil some of its best qualities, but it has unique aspects, which arent available on other coasters at this park (or maybe in general).

This ride is so dull and boring. One of the worst rides I know (worldwide). The attraction has potential, but it is desperately in need of an update. The graphics are so basic, it doesnt even look professional. And with Harry Potters Daigon Alley next door, you know the park can do so much better. Not worth to wait in line for. Very disappointing.
