I decided to book a simple and surprisingly affordable one hour trip with my family of five with the Spirt of the Swamp Airboat Rides company. The process was completed online and was both seamless and extremely manageable. Upon our arrival the companies professionalism and organization quickly began to shine through in both their streamlined check in process and the way they hold themselves as a business; keeping safety and comfort as a paramount priority. Once we were instructed to carry on down to the gangways my family and I were privledged enough to board an impressively safe and very powerful airboat with the outstanding Captain Scott at the helm. The moment the engine was ignited and the propeller roared with life it was evident that the journey ahead was going to be one for the books. Captain Scotts years of familiarity with his profession were visible within his several impactful maneuvers around the the environment. Captain Scott is a man full of knowledge and intelligence of both the surrounding ecosystem in which the tour takes place aswell as real world dispositions. My family and I were quickly reassured of Captian Scotts professionalism as much comfort could be found in his vivid red, white & blue American hospitality, mannerisms, morals, and generosity. Captian Scotts goal throughout the trip is to immerse you into the nature that surrounds while providing you with the crucial knowledge and understanding of it as well. Throughout the tour we were witness to several up close encounters with numerous alligators and were given a whole new insightful view of the beauties that Mother Nature keeps hidden from the plain and unappreciative eye. This trip was one that will remain within my mind aswell as my families for years to come, all thanks to Captain Scott and the brilliant company that he works within. I recommend to all who read this that if at all possible they request Captian Scott on their wilderness treck as you will be more than impressed with his characteristics, personality, and southern charm. Once you and yours get to know him and establish a bond youll begin to realize how outstanding of a tour guide as well as a person he truly is. The experience aboard Captain Scotts airboat was like no other I can remember and I will be strongly recommending him aswell as the Spirt of the Swamp Airboat Rides company to my kin and close freinds just the same as I do to you all reading this.

My mother and I made a reservation easily over the phone the morning of our ride. We recieved a concise text confirmation, so the communicaton is professional. We were greeted when we arrived with courteous and friendly smiles. The staff encouraged and offered to take family pictures with our smart phones. Captain Harold clearly instructed us on the safety measures that were incorporaed on the air boat prior to our departure. The impressive air boat was equipped with two-way radio headsets and volume control, which made it easy to communicate with everyone on the boat. Captain Harold was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He also was more than happy to take pics of us as welll. The Captain knew exactly where to go, as we spotted several gators, large and small. We also saw turtles, birds (including the Snail Kite and Bald Eagle), steer and vegitation. Overall, Spirit of the Swamp was a great experience and we will return for another ride. Best time to go is probably the winter season...no bugs. Also, dont forget to ask Captain Harold for directions to The Catfish House, which is nearby and serves gator..tastes great!

Fantastic is the only word to describe Spirit of the Swamp !!! We have been out with Captain Harold and Debi several times now and we could never visit Florida and not book a tour, even when staying on the west coast. The wildlife and Captain Harolds knowledge of the area is vast. We have been up close to gators everytime we have been out and even spotted them protecting their nests. One of the great things about these guys is the fact that you are out with your family and friends only and not herded onto a big airboat with lots of people you dont know. You can stop just about anywhere and anytime you want, you can even try a bit of fishing. We are over again in August and we have already booked our trip...wouldnt miss it. My wife and I scheduled a trip with Spirit of the Swamp in January, what a great experience! Captain Dale was fantastic and took us to some great spots to see alligators of all sizes and ages! He got us right in on a mama and some babies and let us look and take pictures as long as we wanted. We also saw a giant male, 10+ feet long! Capt. Dale was very knowledgeable and new the swamp! We did the 2 hour tour so we could see the headwaters of Shingle Creek, WOW! AWESOME! We got the whole airboat experience and then some! Birds everywhere and great time! We loved that the boats were smaller and we could see easily! We will go again if we ever get back to Florida! It was the highlight of our trip!

Wasnt impressed with the fact that they charged me full price for my son who ended up not being able to come because he was profusely throwing up all night long sick. Felt that half or a a partial fee being charged would have been a more profession gesture under the circumstances. But I will say the trip itself was amazing! Captain Ken Gift was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable of the area and showed us a lot of wildlife as well as allagators. He took the extra steps to make the trip amazing. Would definitely go again but only if we could have Capatin Ken Gift again. Dont waste time with a one hour trip the two hour trip is the way to go so that you get the most out of the experience.

Great experience today from start to finish. Called with a ton of questions the lady was very nice although Im sure I annoyed the hell out her lol. Then when we got there their was one guy on the dock to help us and the boats captian herald. The tour was great saw a few gators a ton of birds and a few turtles. My 6 year old keeps asking when we could go back. Captain interacted great with the kids very funny and answered all there questions. Great buisness very fun tour would never had imagined to have as much fun as we did. We will definetly be a repeat customer for years to come. Hopefully an request the same captain although Im sure there all great

I looked online for a great company to take an airboat ride with and see alligators. Spirit of the Swamp had great reviews and we had a great time! Captain Chris was an awesome tour guide. The boats were top of the line and the headsets were great. We could all talk while on the ride. We saw big and little alligators, bald eagles and lots of cool birds. The 2 hour tour includes a ride down cypress lane. The trees are absolutely amazing and beautiful. I highly recommend this company.

Had a GREAT time this afternoon with my entire family. I wasnt sure weather my 2.5 year old daughter was going to enjoy the tour, but she was TOTALLY in to it! My 5 year old cant stop talking about how fun it was, and the adults all agree it was the highlight of our trip! The headsets were REALLY nice as we could have a full conversation about the wildlife without shouting. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a private tour at non-private prices!
