I took my two kids bowling on Saturday, Sept. 17th. We usually go to the Oviedo Bowling lanes but I thought I would take them bowling by the Waterford mall, do a little shopping and then get some food. The very first thing that I noticed about this place was the large, disgusting awning in front. Its old, moldy and torn in some places. No big deal I thought as I ushered the kids inside. However, right before entering, I see a sign that says No tank tops allowed. Really, in Florida?? So, after paying for 2 games, and putting our shoes on, I ask someone at the front counter if I could get bumpers for the kids. He said its against company policy to put the bumpers on for kids over 6. I ask why, and he said something about how flimsy their bumpers were and that older kids would damage the bumpers because they would throw the ball too hard against them. Okayyy...Before we even start to bowl, I notice that the heels of my shoes were very aggressive on the floor. They did not slide like at some other bowling lanes Ive been to, including the Oviedo Bowl. I asked another person behind the counter why this was, and he said that their lanes werent properly kept like at most other establishments. He recommended that we walk up to the line, stop and then deliver the ball. Now Im a pretty good bowler, with an average of 130-170. Not great, but not a newcomer to bowling either. This is not my idea of proper bowling. Into about the fifth frame of the second game, I slam down right into the lane on my elbows, knees and feet. In pain, I get up slowly and take a seat next to my kids. None of the patrons asked if I was ok or anything, but then again, not many were in this seedy joint. Dont get me wrong, its not a really bad looking place, but its the staff that makes me feel like it. I told one of the people I spoke with earlier that I fell, and he could care less. I asked for an incident report form, and I was handed a sheet of blank white paper. *Groan* I didnt finish the remainder of the second game or let my kids finish either, for fear that they might fall too. I wound up going to the clinic to get X-rays of my left foot and knee. Thank God they were negative. All I would like is for them to pay for my X-rays AND whatever other bills that may arise due to this mishap. Thats all. My wife became very upset and thought ok no incident report, she called up only to deal with staff members who seem to all hold a shift manager position. Note the General Manager has yet to contact us but my wife was very persistent to get ahold of her. My wife said this woman talked over her not listening to her concerns. I wonder how many more people have fallen at this place and got mistreated by management? I was fortunate, but I still will have a healing process for my sprain and pains in knees, elbows and now oncoming lower back pain from fall. The General Manager said she can be done with this do what you need to do get a lawyer and then slams the phone down. There are cameras to review my fall, I have an orthopedic referral to go to from the doctor I have seen on Saturday. I just want my medical expenses covered. BTW, apparently I was not the only customer that fell that day. I witnessed another patron who fell and got up. Would I come back here again? No way, not even if they paid me. The moral of this story is: Avoid this place like the plague! PS I had to give this place 1 star, otherwise I couldnt post my review. IMO, they dont deserve any stars.

Honestly if there was a rating lower than "0" I would have awarded it. We just got home from F&K and are completely disappointed, upset, and appalled by the awful customer service. I would like to start by saying our waitress was great! We were 2 couples, played 2 games, had 4 appetizers, and all of us ordered drinks. Im rambling about this in order to paint a picture of how much we spent in the 1 1/2 hours we were there. 5 minutes after finishing our last game a staff member by the name of Corey came by, asked if were playing another game, and asked us to leave as quickly as possible as they were on a 2 hour wait. We told him we werent finished with our drinks and were waiting for our waitress to bring our credit cards and receipts back. He continued to ask us 2 more times to get up and leave. We told him we thought it was very rude that he was telling us to leave but that we would be up as soon as our waitress brought our cards back. He walked away and 2 minutes later came up to my boyfriend asking if he was looking at something. What in the hell is going on? What kind of customer service is this? He proceeded to get loud, followed by an incredibly unprofessional woman yelling at my boyfriend to leave. 2 Managers came out who ended up being completely useless as they stood there like deer in headlights listening to us and apologizing. All I am thinking is "why did we just spend over $100 on this place?" At no time did anyone offer to comp drinks, dinner, or the bowling. The worst part is that we had been the week before and had just set up weekly games with friends. We came to find out that this is nothing new for this location. According to staff they OVER serve their customers (alcohol) in order to over charge and OFTEN push people out the door as soon as they have taken their money. Im wondering how this place could possibly still have patrons. With an economy like ours, and being in a college area you would assume that corporate social responsibility to their customers and community would be at the top of their list as it is due to THESE customers that they are up an running. UNBELIEVABLE to me that this went on at place that holds itself to be "upscale" bowling, professional, family atmosphere. Absolutely ridiculous. It was almost comical to me that management did NOT offer us compensation. ALL of us working in customer service, customer relations, and hospitality are in shock that this would ever be acceptable.

Do not waste your time here -- AWFUL customer service! I wish I could give this place 0 stars! My husband and I brought our 3 kids (9, 12 and 14) along with 2 others (11 & 14) hoping to have a nice pre-birthday celebration for my oldest son. We get our shoes and enter our names at the lane but I cant find where to add bumpers for the 3 youngest so I go to the front desk. First let me say that every time we bowl anywhere else in the Orlando area we never have a problem getting bumpers. 2 of our sons have medical issues with their feet and just do not have the balance (let alone the experience) to do much more than throw gutter balls hence the need for bumpers. When I asked for bumpers I was told that anybody over the age of 6 was not allowed to use bumpers. I explained that my children were not going to be able to throw much more than gutter balls and as a paying customer, I wanted all members of my party to be able to have fun for the 2 games we purchased. At that point the man at the desk just pointed to the woman next to him and rolled his eyes. This other woman working then repeated the same "Its our strict policy to limit bumpers to ages 6 and under" and I cannot explain how bored this womans response was. I asked then to speak to a manager because that was just unacceptable and she said she was the manager. I pressed her on this saying there was no way the kids were going to be able to bowl and have any fun and she responded defensively and rudely that their bumper equipment was fragile and they wouldnt budge on their policy because thats just way it is. It was clear we werent getting through to this manager so we decided to get a refund and find a more family friendly place to go. We are issued a refund with no apologies, in fact, not a single word at all. Their entire staff couldnt have cared less and we will never visit them again. We ended up at Kings on I-Drive with a completely opposite experience. They couldnt have been more accommodating and friendly and yes, they allowed bumpers with no problem.
