I come to the Ritz Carlton because I like the customer service. This one is lacking. No one opened the door for me the entire time (which has never happened at any other Ritz.) Instead, the valets were standing around chatting. One time, I was walking from the hotel to my car )after pushing open the hotel door, and a valet literally would not move out of my way, he just stood in front of me and stared at me, and I had to walk around him. Are you kidding me?!?!?!? I asked for a new robe and slippers...housekeeping did not replace them...nor the wine glasses, or regular glasses, or shampoo. Housekeeping also yelled at me while I was leaving my room WHEN YOU LEAVE?! ....and then 30 minutes later a man knocked on my door asking when I was leaving,...even though I had already confirmed a 4 oclock late check out with the front desk. Unacceptable. I went to the spa to use my $100 credit, and the supervisor told me about 10 times what a favor she was doing for me by letting me get products instead of treatments with this $100 credit. She was also poorly groomed, SMACKING GUM, her clothes were faded, and she didnt bother to put on make up or cover her blemishes, as she tried to tell me about some great creams she used on her face. SHE WAS AWFUL! SHE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!! Ruddy and Kirk were bright spots of the trip. They were helpful, kind, and attentive. All in all, this is not what the Ritz Carlton is supposed to be. The service was awful and really needs a lot of help. Also, the lobby furniture was SO TACKY!!! Purple suede ghetto couch?! Really??? Please get better, Ritz Coconut Grove...I expect it when I stay at a motel...not the Ritz:((((

DO NOT USE THE VALET. I came here for a wedding last week, and the valet guy Randy smashed my car into a concrete column. The valet manager handled it very poorly. He lied to me saying he would get me a rental the next day so I could get to my job. Never did that. He lied to me and said that he would handle everything and get my car towed himself. Never did that. Before all of that, they were trying to get us to drive the car home. It looked very damaged and we refused to drive it. The next day they call us and tell us they had a "mechanic" look at the car and that we "could drive it." All lies. They couldnt even give us this "mechanic"s credentials. We didnt believe them thankfully. We had to arrange everything ourselves and get it towed days later. Turns out the CAR WAS TOTALED. After they tried to get us to drive it!! Who knows what would have happened to us or even worse innocent unsuspecting drivers on the road! They have no honesty or regard for other peoples safety, time, or property. We have gotten the total runaround from these people. I would not trust them at all. I know the valet company is a separate entity from the Ritz, but it is really disappointing that the Ritz chooses to do business with such a shady establishment. AVOID the valet at all costs.

This was a huge disappointment for the price. While the service/staff was helpful and friendly, the hotel itself was woefully unimpressive for the hefty price tag. Internet is NOT included- nickel-and-diming from an establishment like the Ritz comes off as extremely petty. Our breakfast came to $100 for a waffle, pancakes, and two orders of bacon- and the pancakes and waffle literally tasted like Bisquick mix. Besides being a huge waste of money, they play this incessant music from sun-up to sun-down. It varies between an awful variety of elevator music jazz, to Jimmy Buffet, to Miley Cyrus. And it literally goes on all. day. without. a. break. Very maddening if youre trying to relax, sleep, or do anything in your room without this god-awful soundtrack in the background because yes, it is loud- even when youre in your room with the windows/doors closed. The rooms are clean but dated. This place is a decent stay if you absolutely must stay in the area, but your money would easily get you more just a short distance away.

This Ritz property has old school charm with exceptional service!! The hotel itself is around 8 floors and the rest of the floors are residences. There is a nice pool area and large fitness room. Downtown Coconut Grove is less than a ten minute walk from the hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful throughout our entire stay! My favorite was the attention to detail from the house attendants in bringing extra coffee pods, water, and towels when they noticed what we were using the most of. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the floor to ceiling marble bathroom! We had a nice size balcony facing downtown Miami/Miami Beach where we could see all of the New Years fireworks for miles down the coastline. A great hotel to spend our New Year for sure!!

From the moment you pull up the service starts...valet opening your car door, the bell hop opening the entrance, service desk quickly checking you in, literally hospitality staff standing in the halls ready to assist anyone that needs anything. Granted I was here for a conference and have no clue how much the food cost, but it was delicious!! The robes in the rooms and the beds...so comfy. The coffe maker in the room and the balcony...lovely!! If you are looking for 5 star service, look no further, its here! Though no beach is close to this hotel (walking distance) I did walk to the coconut grove walk, it had lovely restaurants and very nice people as well.

I received a deep-tissue massage at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, and had the most relaxing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was treated to a relaxing and blissful experience that allowed me to unwind from the otherwise trying and stressful week I was having. I arrived a bit early and was able to enjoy a complementary mimosa, while making use of their sauna and steam room. My masseuse was fantastic, he applied the right amount of pressure to my back and shoulders, as well as my IT band issue. Afterwards, I was able to relax in the lounge and wait for my friends to finish their massages. TL,DR: treat yo self. Its completely worth it.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HoteIRaven. com Booked a hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around... modern hotel situated in a fabulous location In the heart of coconut grove. Located just off the water on a Main Street and has a feeling of being in a foreign country. I often stop here to meet people while having some coffee or a drink and just taking in the vibe. This place hosts a number of events and. Its open design makes it a very comfortable spot to stay over. Prices are a bit steep but it is worth it.

Great location and service. Like very much the availability of sunscreen at the pool. Reason for 4 stars - wifi is not free! Cost $12.99 or $19.99. During our vacations we stayed at 3 hotels - The Palms in Miami Beach and even The Silver Palm in Key West offered FREE wifi. For the amount we paid at the Ritz-Carlton that was least expected. Also the safe box in our was not working! :( Nowadays, technology is a must and not offering to your guests is a BIG dissapoinment.
