Also setzt euch an den linken Rand. Vom Overlook aus habt ihr anschließend eine tolle Rundumsicht und auch der eine oder andere kleine Trail lohnen den Abstecher. Und: Vorsicht vor den Alligatoren. Die sind an Land ganz schön schnell.

We visited Shark Valley on our first day in the Everglades. It was a beautiful day, so we rented bicycles instead of doing the tram tour. On bikes, we could stop when we wanted for wildlife photos. And we stopped a lot. Tremendous wildlife viewing opportunities along the tram trail. We saw great blue herons, green herons, tricolored herons, snowy egrets, white ibises, wood storks, and more alligators than we could count. About half-way along the the loop is the observation tower, where you can climb up for good views over the "River of Grass". Theres also a restroom here. I would definitely recommend arriving early. We got there at 830 and had no trouble parking or getting bikes. When we finished the loop around noon, the parking lot was full and there was a 30 minute wait for bikes.

Visited Shark Valley Everglades National Park Yesterday with 2 friends. We were fortunate to catch the last team, and have Sergio and Kelly as Our Guides! Shark Valley is so beautiful. The Deep Blue Skies, the river of grass, the clouds reflecting off the waters, all teaming with a myriad of wildlife. Thanks to Our informative Guides, it all took on a whole new meaning under the 91° temperature feeling comfortable by the gentle breeze from the Atlantic. This was my second visit, but Joe and his son Toms first. They too were so enthralled by our visit, it took up nearly our whole conversation back to Saint Petersburg Thank You a Shark Valley, Sergio, and Kelly! Steven Lonergan

My husband and I have been to a lot of national parks, this is number 6 for us. The people here were nice enough, but the trail itself was great! We rented bikes, we got there at 1 pm and they were out so we put our first names on a list. I wasnt impressed with this system, but it worked fine. We waited about 30 minutes and got our bikes. We rode the whole trail, 15 miles. The observation tower was neat. We saw a lot of alligators, they are not afraid of you! As long as you keep your distance youre fine, the sun on the edge of the trail so you just ride on the other side. Overall a very cool time. Would not recommend to someone who would panic if they saw a gator!

Wonderful place to see birds and alligators. But extremely lacking when it comes to amenities - no picnic tables, gross restrooms, wouldnt venture a guess when restrooms and water coolers were last cleaned - not anytime recently! Tram engines run so roughly that whole tram vibrates and noise level is so loud it is hard to hear the commentary of very knowledgeable tour guide. There is no designated bike lane so bikers are scrambling to get off to side when tram comes thru - very close could have reached out and touched bikers as we went by. Disappointing that no resources are being allocated for such a interesting place.

We went for a walk and there were pretty good seeings. The only bad features about this place is the missing lunch tables. We brought a lunch there hoping to lunch on a table, but there were only sitting bench at the main building. Also my grand parents were with us and the lack of sitting benches along the road was also a problem. Adding those each half mile would be a nice add-on to the place.

The Tram Tour was amazing! Both our guide (Kimberly) and our driver (Sergio) did a great job at educating us about the Everglades and its inhabitants and showing us as many different animals and plants as possible. The equipment worked very well too which I find worth mentioning since its still not standard. 10/10 would recommend!

Found this great tour on the Internet. We hoped to join the tour of 3pm. But at this time of year theres none at 3pm. The first and last one is given at 4pm. We were glad joining a ranger show to fill up the wait. The tour was great, we had a great enthusiastic guide. Weve seen several gators, crocodiles, birds.

The tour is mildly interesting. The tram itself is a joke. The engine is so noisy (right behind where people are sitting) that its a sure way to scare away all wildlife. If youre travelling on the 41 youre better off taking advantage of the various boardwalks either side of the road. Spend your money elsewhere.

I had a WONDERFUL time! Kastle was our tour guide and Forest was our driver. They allowed us to have a exellent time at Everglades Nantional Park by driving us there safley and helping us learn about our Native Birds and Mammals. We saw a TON of gators and birds. We had a great time and hope you do to

The walking path is excellent, but the tour carries visitors farther faster. Also quite educational those who havent been introduced to the glades many geologic features and abundant wildlife. A good idea to bring along water, rain gear and sunscreen, any or all of which you might need.

What a great time.... saw tons of birds, fish, alligators in the water and on land, as well as interesting insects and butterflies. Awesome hike.... took a drive afterwards west and followed the loop road where we saw all kinds of wild life from our car... what a day!

Bike tour was super fun. We had to wait out some rain at the observation tower, but no big deal. Lots of wildlife to see including gators, crickets, turtles, birds, and snakes! Remember water and sunscreen as it can get very hot. Loop is 15 miles and flat.
