Stay here! We tented it for 6 nights in January. (I think there maximum in a month is 7 nights for tent campers) Everything about the stay was fantastic! No electric at the campsites BUT they have this awesome community center that is open from 9AM to 10PM everyday that has outlets, a huge TV with Direct TV, bathrooms, water fountains, a book shelf, a coffee maker if you have coffee. We spent at least some time in here everyday. Well worth the $16 with all the amenities of the community center. A lot of RV campers here, that it seemed like they stay for an extended period of time, they have events in the community center daily at varying times. Bingo, arts and crafts and such. They all like to talk and play card games at night that is for sure! The staff was always friendly in the office, make sure to check in by 5PM, that is when the office closes for the night. There always seems to be a ranger driving around, checking up on things. If you get there later than 5PM we saw the Ranger check in a couple people. The camping is primitive and basically camp wherever you want in a field. On the weekends it got busy, boy scouts al over the place when we were there. No worries about wild life as far as what we saw, some cats wandering around that is about it. They have plenty of bathroom facilities, maybe 6 on the whole campground. We always walked to one a little further away where the RVs were located rather than the tent site one. They seemed a little more well kept, with actual doors in on the shower area. The city that surrounds the campground looks to be a little sketchy, bars on all the windows of the houses and such. We never really found out if it was a great area or not but once your in the campground with all the people around I didnt once feel uncomfortable. Over all we will be back when we are back to South FL.

Despite being "Full" they do have an open field area for dry camping. We stayed two days and enjoyed it. Large pool, laundry, showers, playground. Big Rig friendly at most sites. Sites are closely spaced but not tightly packed. Even has clotheslines installed outside the laundry/shower building! Sites are level (Whole area is flat. Heck, all of Florida is flat!). No mosquitoes in February, nice. Some trees which could block solar and satellite dish at some spaces. Outside campground are group pavilions, beach, trails for hiking and biking. Very nice County park. Stays full in winter since price for full hookups is under $600/month (2017). Roads paved except short road to dry camping which is dirt and a little bumpy so just drive slowly. Also has storage area across the field from dry camping by the day, week or month. Nearby is the Miami Zoo and the Gold Coast Railroad Museum. Shopping and eating in abundance in less than 2 miles. This RV park is highly recommended IF you can get a reservation, otherwise it is first come first serve at the level mown grass dry camping area. Nice place to dry camp a few days and see the many sites in the area. Every Presidents Day weekend there is a huge art festival at Coconut Grove 30 minutes drive from the park. It is international in scope and costs $15 per person per day. Lots of food vendors and live entertainment too.

Entreda gratis.

Be aware!!! Before you place a reservation with them, I called couple weeks in advanced to reserve the park, I chose to be close to the Cabana part of the park when I paid in FULL for the week reservation. When we came to the park after 5 hours of driving, the manager MARVIN G, told us that our site was given to some else. He did not apologize or approach us at the counter desk, he even had an attitude. He was rude. He instead moved us right at the very end of the park. They should tell you at the time of registration that we reserve a place for you but we can not give you a specific site until you come here. I really think that they have favorites and they give the nice area sites to their friends, family or those who probably know they offer more money up front. Very unfair.

Horrible management. We stay there for 3 weeks and we were accused of having a tent right next to our RV spot and what we had was a beach umbrella that sticks to the ground. There was no way to make the manager understand that. He does whatever he wants with that place. Runs it like if it were his private place. We were treated really bad even though all the other RV people were perplexed to see that there was no reason for them to treat us like that. We saw a guy killing a rakum with a hammer and they did not do anything about it because the guy who killed it has been staying there for more than 15 years. We saw when one of the managers went to talk to this person and instead he received some gift from the rakum killer.

Stayed here about 5 months while finishing school. Staff will work with you to meet all your needs. Only downside is they still are working on getting internet installed...but get your self some internet service with CLEAR and your good to go. Pool is nice during the summer to cool off. Very clean park. Has avocado trees lining the park in various spots. Hook ups all support 50amps and have water and sewer. Make sure to reserve a spot in advance during the winter season as the snow birds fill it to maximum capacity during this time but they tend to squeeze people in where they can.
