The amenities here are good for birthday parties. Ive been here multiple times since 1995. So book shelter here for parties its worth it. Now as for just other park activities I feel the park may limit sport activities due to its lay out. This park acts more as a nature preserve over anything else. There are good walking trails all over and towards the back there is a canal where fishing is allowed. Bottom line is, if you want to play sports, you may find it more appealing if you were to go to tropical park two blocks West of this park. There is more field there than here. Otherwise this is a very relaxing park.

Awesome park with some great history. Aside from providing lovely gazebos for parties, a public pool, and lots of play area, this park holds a nice piece of "Old Florida". A beautiful trail with tall pines, one of the last areas in Miami where so many pines are present. The park is also a Florida Birding Trail. Ive come here many times but it wasnt until last week that I actually took the time to sit under some trees and look up at the birds. If youre quite and patient you will see some racoons, hawks, finches and more. Lovely park, I just hope they continue to preserve it.

went to this park as a kid rode my bike had nice hills back then was called bird park at that time then in early 90s changed name yet found no info about its former name had a nice lake back then as well hope to be back one day to see it again im over 1000miles from there now so seeing it on Google maps along with the Burger King across bird road from it brought back memorys of being one of the only American kids in the neighborhood across from the park oh what great memorys i had at the park

As a birder, this park is one of my favorites in South FL. There are tons of paths to walk and so many different habitat areas. It is a great park for walking, holding your weekend event, exercising on the outdoor fitness equipment, or just enjoying nature (arrive early on the weekends to beat the noise!) Have seen broken car windows more than once so dont leave valuables visible.

I hated so much... I went to a birthday party and guess what somebody tried to steal my car. They broke the right passenger window just to take my bag of makeup. I had expensive glasses right where my makeup bag was but they didnt take it. Horrible park. If you dont want to get your car stolen then never go to that park. By the way the party was awesome

I grew up in this park. I love it and they even have a piece of endangered Miami Rock Pineland. Beautiful open spaced park with one baseball field, a public swimming pool, one basketball court and a nature path in the back of the park by the "Nature Center." Come by for a picnic, bicycle ride, or a swim! Did I mention they have a diving board!?

Not as big as Tropical Park and it has less basketball courts, well only one. This does has its up side. There are less people so its less crowded. Not only is it less crowded it also has a basketball court, a trail, a swimming pool, (has lessons available) a walking trail, a lake, and a canal which includes many fishes.

Ad Barnes park is one of the better parks in West Miami the facilities are clean maintained and home to many outdoor recreational favorites. Great for running and biking. Pretty central location you can go off for a bite after your time at the park rather quickly and its easy to get to with plenty of available parking.

A great local park for soccer, basketball, running, walking or birthday parties. The front of the park has a lake and a trail around the lake while the back of the park is more wooded. Off to the side are sports fields, a pool, and playsets for children. There are pavilions for cookouts and parties.

Beautiful park hidden in the heart of Miami. Went for movies in the park Everything was well organized, nice group of people on blankets or beach chairs having some popcorn while watching Grease. At the end of the night the park was as spotless as it was before the event started

This is a great urban park. There is a decent playground for kids, and am outdoor at of exercise stations for those motivated. We saw a tree filed with iguanas on one visit. There are walks around the lake for those feel removed from the urban landscape.

Nice walking/ running trails, working water fountains. There is a nice park, basketball court, and baseball field as well. There is also a public pool and splash park for toddlers, but be sure to check the hours as they are not open for very long.

Being in this park is like being in a different world -- that is, not in the middle of Kendall. I really enjoy walking the labyrinthine trails in the midst of thick trees. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a little get away.

Terrible dont ever go very bad a low price and a low qality you can only be in one place and cant move i would never go again dont go i would but less than a star but it doesnt allow it dont go dont waste you money on the pool

Loved the trails, great place to walk and talk. The longest trail was actually gated and locked which was dissapointing, but I jumped it lol. Theres a bunch of cats everywhere for some reason.

Love going pokemom hunting here, always are a lot of pokemon. Also is a very nice spot to have a picnic or to just chill out in the shade. Usually a lot of people though..

Great place for children.!! Great playground and walking routes and you can even practice sports there! Also has a pool for swimming practice. Parking is fine

I loved the walkway, the waterways, and watching the parties in the pavilions. Very natural all the water down to the MASSIVE spiders overhead in the woods!
