I decided to check this place out on a Sunday. I was writing a travel review for a class at USF. Theres always a possibility for publication, too. It just depends on how good the article is. There were about four or five customers sitting quietly and a small band playing. My buddies were drinking. I was designated driver. They ordered a some different microbrews and seemed to like them. I ordered a non-alcoholic beer. None were available. I didnt feel like having a soda. I started to take a few photos of the band to include in my review. The bartender, Nick (I think), accosted me. I introduced myself and said, "Im writing a travel article." He told me that for future reference it wasnt cool to take photos without asking. I didnt argue, but I was having a difficult time digesting this information, since a great deal of people take photos at bars pretty much non-stop now. Its just kinda what you do. Take a photo and usually post it on facebook. To be honest, I was using a tripod, which is unusual but necessary in low light situations, because the shutter speed has to be lower and my hands arent steady enough without it to get anything decent. But my camera is a little powershot. I think you could tell Im not a pro. I thanked him and tried to resume the conversation with my friends, asking them about what they ordered and how they were enjoying it. I was still feeling pretty weird about the way the bartender had leaned toward me. It was threatening. I took a couple more photos. And I have to say, theres not a whole lot there thats interesting. They make their own beer, so there are giant vats they use to ferment the beer. The place used to be an auto garage, and they have still have the big bay doors. So its cool, but not exactly earth shattering. The bartender gets my attention again. Hes obviously angry. He says that I still havent introduced myself (which I did) or said what I was doing (which I also did). He offers me "a little friendly or unfriendly advice"... to do what Im not sure... put my camera away and leave I guess. And at that point Im done. My friends just spent about 20 dollars in 3 minutes, because I suggested we go here so I could check the place out. I put my camera away as fast as I could. We left with a really bad taste in our mouths. Either the place is for the public or not. I shouldnt have to worry about getting assaulted because the bartender is in a bad mood. It might have even been the owner, but I dont understand why the owner of a bar wouldnt want to be included in a travel article. I cant recommend that people go there at all now, and that was why I went in the first place.

My wife and I walked in one afternoon to have some lunch and a beer; we are somewhat new to the area and had never been there before. I asked for a couple different beer samples to try since I had no idea what to expect (some of their beers are just named red, gold, pale, etc.). I wanted to make sure I was going to enjoy the pint I was about to invest in. I did not really like the two samples I tried and asked politely for a 3rd. At this point the bartender acted like this was some huge inconvenience for her, there was some eye rolling, she slid me the sample and she then completely (and blatantly) ignored us from that point on. She served everyone else at the bar, talked with other coworkers, and walked past us at least 30 times never making eye contact or asking how I liked the 3rd beer sample (which I did want to purchase a pint of). I am not sure what happened here; we were very friendly to her. Every other brew pub or tap house I have ever been to has never taken issue with sampling a few beers before making a decision on a pint. We just got up and left after being ignored for over 10 minutes. We were never even offered a menu or asked if we wanted to order any food (and we did want to order lunch). We will certainly not be back; there are plenty of restaurants, brew pubs and tap houses in Dunedin and the surrounding areas that offer way better service and frankly, judging from the samples I tried, better beer. This was a disappointing experience for us.

Dunedin Brewery- On behalf of my friend and all women.... This must be taken care of quickly. A woman should be safe in your establishment and your staff did nothing! I am out raging mad at the management, staff and entire company of Dunedin Brewery...a DRUNKEN FOOL WHO WAS BANNED FROM THE BREWERY Several times BEFORE as well as many other drum circles. He harrassed me all night, pushed into me 3 or 4 times, interrupted my private conversation outside, spit on me as he slurred his words calling me names because i told him to go away stop being an a..hole, he even followed me to car, So INFORMED THE STAFF & THE ORGANIZER AND QUITE A FEW PEOPLE THERE But NOT ONE OF YOU DID ANYTHING ABOUT IT. YEP HE FOLLOWED ME TO THE CAR & running his month and taking PHOTOS, THREATENING ME. I hope his was an isolated incident for this establishment. I have been looking forward to coming to events and drum circles at this brewery.

I was so excited to come here. I love the beers Ive had here. It was not the experience I was hoping for. It was a really hot day and it was really busy. We sat outside because it was the only available seating. We really wanted to be inside and I really wanted to try a few beers in flights. Several groups were also outside. The server kept offering the tables inside and we were never given that option. The service was the slowest Ive ever had. Seriously waited 30 mins between every interaction. The beer was very good. The burger is well done, it does state that in the menu but I thought it was a pun... My error. I usually eat my burger at med rare so to me it was super chewy. The tater tots we very good. We waited 30 mins for the check so we finally went inside to get the check and he said I got busy and forgot about you. Then said I wouldnt want to sit outside, I said neither did I.

As far as Im concerned, the Dunedin Brewery is the best place to get beer from in all of Tampa Bay area. I love the brewery. I am not a bar person, so coming here allows me to get a delicious beer without having to go into a dark bar. On the beer: Its the best beer Ive ever had. Im not just saying that because I love the brewery so much. I really mean it. My favorite beyond all others is the Apricot Peach Ale. However, the Gold Ale and Red Ale are as equally amazing if you dont like a bit of fruitiness to your beer. Sometimes theyve got the Razzbeery Wheat which is delicious if youre in the mood for a beer thats a bit sweet. On the food: The food is almost as amazing as the beer. Pork Tacos... Pork Tacos. I also highly recommend the pretzel bites with beer cheese, Cheese Curds and whatever else you feel like having. Its all great.
